Art Project #76- Decorating our Windows

The boys decided on our art project last week, asking to pull out some cool new paint pens we've gotten and draw on the windows.  I love that as we're nearing the end of our 100 Days of Art the boys are taking over more and more; making suggestions and deciding on what we'll be doing.

We used Crayola's Crystal Effects Window markers and Crafty Croc's Liquid Chalk Markers. Both gave a different look to our drawings but we all agreed that the Crystal Effects markers were so neat to watch!

Crafty Croc Liquid Chalk Markers, 10 Pack of Neon Chalk Pens with Reversible Tip, and 2 Replacement Tips

As you draw with the maker and it begins to dry on the windows it appears to crack and crystallize! Sadly, none of this artwork photographs all that well!

We all started out drawing fun St. Patrick's Day themed pictures like shamrocks, pots of gold, and rainbows but their drawings soon turned into random doodles.

Evan drew an apple in a tree.

Ian drew a house.

Evan drew Elsa conjuring up a swirling snowstorm complete with lyrics to Let It Go!

They had so much fun and these drawings easily wash right off the windows with a bit of window cleaner and paper towel.

    1. Thanks but I have long since decided 100 days is much to long to do anything for; next time I'll stick to a 30 day challenge! But now that we've gotten this far I am DETERMINED to finish! :)

Thanks for sharing on the Virtual Fridge!

    1. They are lots of fun! I'm looking for a nice big chalkboard to put in our kitchen.. just so I can draw on it with them.

  3. Those crystal markers look fun! My favorite crayola for glass is the crayons. They have a nice rich, thick color. If we ever get above freezing again, this will be fun to do.
