All the Feels in March

Image
It's the last Monday of the month and time to link up with X-tremely V at The Feels.  Each month the same questions are asked and the catch is that all our questions have to be answered based on the current month! I don't have to tell you that this has been a crazy month and has felt like it was 10 times longer than a regular month.  So much so that I found it nearly impossible to even remember the beginning of March! Favorite meal this month-- Our traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner that I only ever make for St. Patrick's day. Favorite Movie/ TV Show/ Book-- Movie: Forever My Girl-- It was like a chick lit romance novel come to life that I found on Amazon. Tv Show : Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist; I wasn't so sure about this show at first since people around her just randomly burst into song but I really do love it! Book : I read 11 pretty good books this month ( see my full list here !) and while it's always hard to p

I took a few photos when I made this recipe back in the late fall but I had forgotten to write down my recipe so I had to recreate my recipe using my photos and I think the second time around this soup might have been even better! A hearty soup is perfect for these cool evenings we're still having here in New England and they're a great way to keep a nice low- point Weight Watcher's dinner too. This meal comes together so easy and cooking it in the crock pot all day makes the house smell great by dinnertime. Ingredients: 1 lb hamburg 1/4 onion; diced fine 1 tsp. minced garlic salt and pepper to taste 1 16 ounce package frozen corn about 2 cups sliced carrots 1 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes with the juice 1 Tablespoons beef bullion 4-5 cups water 1 24 ounce can pasta sauce 2 cups pasta (I used Ditalini but any small pasta shape would do) In a skilled brown up the beef with minced onion, garlic, salt and pepper.  While it is browning co

The 11 Books I Read This Month

Image
I had another great month of reading (with plenty of extra time to read). I found so many fun and interesting books; many that were recommended to me by bloggers, friends, and family alike-- so thank you! 1.  Golden in Death by JD Robb -- In this latest installment Eve Dallas is on the hunt to find a killer that is mailing golden eggs full of toxic chemicals to their recipients. 2.  The Dressmaker's Gift by Fiona Valpy- - Harriet arrives in Paris hoping to find some sort of connection to her grandmother and family.  Following a photograph she found in her mother's belongings Harriet takes a job working in the same building where her grandmother lived during the war.  Told in alternating storylines we learn the fate of Harriet's grandmother and two best friends while also learning how Harriet is dealing with all the tragedy in her own life. 3.  Summer of '79 by Elin Hilderbrand - - This short little novella re-visits the Levin family 10 year after the
