Encouraging Hearts and Home: Berry Delicious

I just love fresh berries and we go blueberry and strawberry picking each year.  Sadly, we don't  have fresh berries for picking around here until sometime in July (depending on weather) but I love seeing all the yummy berry recipes that start cropping up in spring.  My features this week are all from last week's party and feature some sort of berries. Enjoy! And Now, It's Time for This Week's Encouraging Hearts & Home Blog Hop!     Join your Encouraging Hearts & Home Co-Hosts each week for encouragement and support for your heart & your home . We hope to provide a space that builds each other up and lends a helping hand along the way. With all the negativity in the world, let's shine a positive light! Monthly Musings-- March 2022

It's the last Thursday of the month and time to link up with Patty and Holly for their Monthly Musings.  I almost didn't write up a post since I didn't think that many of the questions applied to me but I love both these ladies and enjoy this easy type of Q&A posts too much to not join in.  I'm so glad I did too as it ended up being a real fun trip down memory lane for me! 1.  Beyond getting my boys some candy or small gifts we don't celebrate Easter.  I mean when they were little we did-- they had Easter outfits and we'd have baskets for them and egg hunts galore.  Sometimes we hunted eggs here, sometimes at my mom, sometimes at my in-laws... sometimes all three!  We'd have so much candy it was nuts but they loved it.  As they've gotten older we've done less and less and now they pretty much just get a homemade card from mom and a chocolate bunny.  Here's a look back at some photos (not the greatest quality since they are photos of photos i

What's Up Wednesday; March 2022

I feel like this month has just flown right by!  We had a pretty good month even if the weather has been all over the place. We have just a few more weeks until Alec's April vacation and I am looking so forward to sleeping in.   What We're Eating This Week:   Chicken parmesan in the air fryer with whole grain pasta and salad Burgers/hot dogs fries and salad Spinach and cheese ravioli & sauce (I'll make pesto pasta for Alec since he doesn't eat ravioli and loves leftover pesto for lunch) Unstuffed cabbage soup with cornbread Ham steak, twice baked potatoes, and green beans Steak & Cheese grinders with raw veggies and dip (or maybe salad): We often used leftover pot roast and just shred it up with some cheese, I cook up onions and mushrooms and each person picks what they want on their sandwich.  What I'm Reminiscing About:  My girlfriend and I have been talking about our time homeschooling and how quickly it all flies by. Her one and only is headed o
