Cards I've Made in May

Image
Alec needed a bunch of cards for ALL of his friends' birthdays (seems like everyone he knows was born between the very end of April and mid-May.  I also needed mother's day cards, teacher appreciation cards, an anniversary card, and a card for my card chain challenge exchange which means May found me hard at work making all sorts of cards. I made 20 identical cards; the inside says "wishing you the sweetest day" and we gave a card and a mini package of Jelly Belly jelly beans to each of Alec's teachers

Can you believe it's already the last weekend of the month? Here in the states we have a long Memorial day weekend and my husband and I took off to Acadia, Maine for the long weekend; we have always made it a priority to get away just the two of us for a little weekend here and there whenever we have that extra money in our budget and I can not wait to hit the trails.   Loved: I have loved the warming up of our weather! Learned: that solar panels produce power even on clou

May's Monthly Musings

Image
It's the final Thursday of the month and that means it's time to link up with Holly and Patty for monthly musings.  This month we're discussing memorial day! 1. This memorial day my husband and I are heading to Acadia National Park (should be interesting because I just read on the National Parks page that memorial day weekend is their busiest of the season!).   2. Oh gosh I'm not sure I can pick just one favorite; I have so many! I love anything with chocolate and raspberry or chocolate and peanut butter in it.  the "Judy" from Bucks-- vanilla soft serve with cheesecake cubes, raspberry sauce & hot fudge Chocolate/ raspberry truffle  Maine lobster tracks-- vanilla ice cream, fudge swirls, and orange cups of caramel sprinkled throughout homemade dark chocolate ice cream  3. It's a toss up; some years we stay at home and others (like this year) we travel.  Our anniversary almost always falls on/around memorial day weekend so if we don't travel memor
