100 Days of Science #69-- Learning Botany at the Botanical Gardens

It was a beautiful, sunny day and the boys and I thought it would be fun to explore the botanical gardens at Roger Williams Park.  We visited another botanical garden during winter but have been wanting to go back and see all the flowers in bloom in the spring. We loved looking at all the different plant species.  They had so many beautiful flowers and unusual plants on display!  

We learned so much about many of the plants that we eat:  Dragon fruit, papaya, pineapple, coffee beans, cinnamon, etc.  It was a wonderful botany lesson.
