This month's Pinterest challenge was all about Thanksgiving and while I don't typically do much extra decorating for the holiday I did see this cute Give Thanks banner that I thought would add a really nice touch to our fireplace.
While the link leads to a free printable version I knew I could easily whip up something cute and quick on my Cricut.
Using Cricut Sans I made my letters in all caps adjusting them all to be around 2" tall. Using a free banner image sized to 3" wide and 4" tall I cut out 6 each in orange and green (this gave me one extra banner but allowed me to cut them all out in just 2 full sheets/cuts).
Once I had everything cut, I laid out my design and glued the letters in place using rubber cement.
After the letters were glued on, I added small holes in the corner of each card to hang them by.
I threaded some ribbon through and then hung it on the mantle before making sure the letters were perfectly spaced.

I'm back to my What's Up Wednesday posts on a Tuesday! Sorry if it feels like I'm all over the place when it comes to blogging this year but I'm trying to find that perfect life/ work balance that I feel like I'm missing. I really needed to take a step back from blogging after having blogged nearly every day for the last 10 years. What We're Eating This Week: Once we got back from vacation in mid-June I've been trying to cook super healthy meals. Rainbow veggies with pasta I made Weight Watchers 2-ingredient bagels and have been eating them with veggies, eggs, and occasionally a piece of bacon. Lots of salads-- topped with chicken, shrimp, tuna, fruit, and light dressing. Crustless vegetable quiche, roasted veggies, and those 2-ingredient bagels again. What I'm Reminiscing About: In trying to plan the details for our Disney vacation I can't help but think of all the great Disney moments we've enjoyed through the year (most of them befor
This month's Not Just a Mom we're discussing our dream travel locations. I'm pretty excited to see what everyone has to share today as I just LOVE thinking up vacations and finding new ideas and places to visit. I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to family and dream travel plans . I'm one of those people that want to go everywhere; even back to places I've already been! I hope you'll head over and check out my co-hosts posts too and if you wrote up one of your own please link it up with us below. In July of 2019 I shared 15 places I'd like to go for Dream Vacation Destinations and I stated that I could have easily added so much more onto that list... well today I am going to do just that. Now my top 15 are on that first list so you'll have to click over to see those places that include things like Bora Bora, Paris, Hawaii, etc. Some of my OTHER dream travel locations include: 1. Amalfi coast, Italy-- While Venice usually tops my list after
This month's theme of sleeveless was picked by Mireille and I was so excited as a huge portion of my spring and summer wardrobe is sleeveless. My typical outfit for summer is usually a pair of short or capri pants with a sleeveless top and some flip flops so that's what I styled for today's post. I honestly don't remember where I got this tank top but I just love that it's both baggy and yet has the fitted band at the bottom to create that automatic blouse/ tucked in look. It's a lightweight cotton and keeps me nice and cool. I used my teardrop pearl earrings and pink gemstone bracelet to dress it up a bit. The sorts are my favorite Lee Flex-To-Go relaxed fit cargo shorts . They have a 6 inch inseam and lots of pockets with a really comfortable flexible waistband. I own them in multiple colors.
