This month's Pinterest challenge was all about Thanksgiving and while I don't typically do much extra decorating for the holiday I did see this cute Give Thanks banner that I thought would add a really nice touch to our fireplace.
While the link leads to a free printable version I knew I could easily whip up something cute and quick on my Cricut.
Using Cricut Sans I made my letters in all caps adjusting them all to be around 2" tall. Using a free banner image sized to 3" wide and 4" tall I cut out 6 each in orange and green (this gave me one extra banner but allowed me to cut them all out in just 2 full sheets/cuts).
Once I had everything cut, I laid out my design and glued the letters in place using rubber cement.
After the letters were glued on, I added small holes in the corner of each card to hang them by.
I threaded some ribbon through and then hung it on the mantle before making sure the letters were perfectly spaced.

I join in with the ladies for Let's Look At (the 2nd Wednesday of every month) so sporadically, but this year I am trying to be more intentional about joining in. This month we're looking at our medicine cabinet. While we don't have a traditional medicine cabinet I do have one large-ish closet in our master bathroom that I tend to keep pretty much everything in. I re-organized it back in 2020 when I was on a kick organizing the whole house. I use these clear bins and then made my own labels. The top shelf: The bin on the left holds my curling irons and heated styling tools that I rarely use. The bin on the right holds all our travel items and things The second shelf down: The bin on the left holds all our medicines and the bin on the right (which I didn't bother to photograph) just holds q-tips and cotton balls. We typically keep cough drops, NyQuil capsules, Vicks shower tabs, Motrin, Sudafed, Vicks vapo-rub and a few at home Covid tests on hand. The next she
Today I am linking up with some fellow bloggers for a Dollar Store craft challenge. I don't often participate in these challenges since I try to stay away from our local Dollar Stores; I find they can be quite dangerous for me! I knew this was the perfect time to find some inexpensive holiday decorations though and I just LOVE how my wreath turned out! I hope you stop by and see what the other hosts are sharing. Meet this month's co-hosts! Across the Blvd | Purple Hues & Me This Autoimmune Life | Our Unschooling Journey Domestic Deadline | Sew Crafty Crochet Stone Cottage Adventures | Sum of Their Stories | Two Chicks & a Mom I bought the candy cane wreath base and a few rolls of mesh (not knowing how many I'd need I bought waaay to many; I only ended up using one white roll and one red roll. Using some chenille stems I already had on hand I attached the mesh to the wreath base trying to alternate the white
Monday's September 10th and it will be time to link up with Marsha for her 10 on the 10th but since we have the Not Just a Mom link up that day I figured I'd post my answers and questions a bit earlier. Marsha always makes me think long and hard about these!! 1. My favorite 9 letter word is diagnosis -- I can't get into much detail (since it's not me) but we have a family member undergoing lots of testing for some medical issues and I just know that we are all just praying for a diagnosis. Somehow just the knowing what you are dealing with is much less scary than lots of professionals making their best guess and offering to try different treatments that might or might not work. 2. I had to Google songs with September in the title and out of all the hits I got I only recognized one or two of them so I guess I'd have to say my favorite is September by Earth, Wind, & Fire since it's the only one I really know. 3. In our area the most famous celebration
