What's Up Wednesday in June
And just like that the month is nearly over which means it's time to link up with Shay and Sheaffer for What's Up Wednesday.
What We're Eating:
Monday: Fresh caught baked fish with rice pilaf and salad (and chicken tenders for the boys)
Tuesday: Sloppy Joes with fries and salad.
Wednesday: Grilled pineapple teriyaki chicken, roasted potatoes, and green beans with salad.
Thursday: Pasta Primavera (just plain pasta and sauce for the boys)
Friday: Pork chops (with our steakhouse marinade) served with couscous and onions/peppers with salad.
What I'm Reminiscing About: Seeing Alec's Greece photo (that's he's been texting me) makes me reminisce about my high school class trip to France/Paris.

What I'm Loving: Eating as many meals as I can on the deck and patio.
What We've Been Up To: My husband and I started our month in Acadia National Park and exploring Maine. We went strawberry picking. We celebrated Evan's high school graduation and my retirement from teaching😉! We saw Alec off to Greece and have spent lots of time working on the house and yard.
What I'm Dreading: Nothing at the moment!
What I'm Working On: I spent a couple days last week working on cards, some scrapbooking pages, and I started a new painting.
What I'm Excited About: Next week my husband decided to take Wednesday off and we've planned a day in Boston to play tourist before picking Alec up from the airport.
What I'm Watching/Reading: The 4 Seasons; Season 2 (Netflix), The Boroughs (Netflix), The Art of Racing in the Rain (Disney +), Big Mistakes (Netflix)-- not nearly as much watching since I read so much.
I read 18 books this month; not sure how I managed that feat but I did read & listen to some really great books (not all made it into the graphic but you can check back Next Thursday to see them ALL).
What I'm Doing This Weekend: We don't have any plans yet.

It's been a good month! Love those throwback picks from Paris and yes to eating out on the deck as much as possible. I try to do that with my deck.

Happy retirement!! You've had a big, fun month!! So glad your weather is cooperating and you're able to enjoy sitting outdoors (you get out in all kinds of weather which is great but sitting outside eating requires nice weather!!). It must be fun getting pictures from Greece. One of Alyssa's best friends is there now so she's been seeing Greece via photos :).
ReplyDeleteI always love reading these! I love all the pics from your younger years, you and hubby in Maine, and your food. I'm so glad you're able to enjoy some warm weather finally! I know you love the summer. Happy Wednesday!
