Favorite "Based on a True Story" Movies

Having spent the last year or so working on sharing my favorite movies from various categories, I'm kind of surprised I hadn't thought to share some of my favorite movies that were based on a true story.

This is one of my all time favorite categories of movies since I find that the movies themselves often prompt me to read and delve further into the stories behind the making of the movies.

A few like The Blind Side, Remember the Titans, Titanic, and Sound of Music were already mentioned in previous "favorites" posts and I'm trying not to repeat movies through all these lists (though it's not always easy and I may inadvertently list one or two I've forgotten I've mentioned before).

  12. Apollo 13 is one of my favorite movies ever and is one I'll rewatch often. It's been sad to see The Blind Side story in the news recently. Lots of hurt there it seems. Argo and The King's Speech are two others that are favorites here. Have a nice weekend!
