My Favorite Animated Movies

 I've been having so much fun with this series but I'm starting to run out of movie genres to focus on!  I have always been a fan of animated movies and while this list could have been so much longer I decided to focus on those movies that I feel like I've seen a million or so times.

    So many fun animated movies here! I watched most of these with my kids when they were little. They still love animated movies and the other day they were telling me that I have to watch the latest Puss In Boots. According to them, it's the best movie they have ever seen!

      Alec made me watch it last year when we were at Disney and I just thought it was so adorable. Of course Alec's favorite animal has always been a red panda (he even dressed up like one for Halloween one year!).

    Hi Joanne! Despicable Me was CRAZY FUN to watch with our teenaged grandkids! They knew every line, every nuance. Now that I think of it, they were funnier than the movie itself!!

    I've seen most of these and really liked them. Have you seen the live action Little Mermaid? It was a little disconcerting trying to figure out what was real and what was CGI. It just confused me when it probably shouldn't have.

    Beauty and the Beast will always and forever be my favorite! Followed by The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and The Lion King. All of those came out when I was little, so I grew up with them!

    We love animated movies! I miss watching them as a family now that the kids are older! I do love some of the newer Disney movies like Moana, Encanto and Frozen. They have some good music! But of course the classics will always be a fave!

      I enjoyed Encanto and Frozen too but I think since I haven't watched them over and over again like the others they just don't seem like favorites but ones I enjoyed. Though I do know so many of the songs from all 3 that you mentioned.

    I won't say any of these are my favs but have seen them all with the grandbabies and didn't realize how many years of going to the movies with them that we've done until I looked at your list here. Some of them that I enjoyed were Shrek, Ratatouille, Cars, and Ice Age :)

      Looking back at the list, I do see some that were before my grandbabies were born so yeah, we watched those at home. Anything in the 2000s though were seen at the theater.

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? I can remember planning sleepovers and time with friends around TV Show lineups of our favorite shows... or else trying to set the VCR to record our favorite shows if we weren't going to be home. Throwing a Fabulous 70th Birthday Party at the Last Minute

 I threw a 70th birthday party for my mom at rather the last minute.  Mid- December or so my sister texted me that since it was my mom's 70th this year we should do something to celebrate.  My husband and I were leaving on our cruise the weekend of her actual birthday so I offered to host something New Year's Eve. That gave me about 2 or so weeks to prepare (thankfully I was all set for Christmas!).  I immediately hopped on Amazon and found some cute and pretty rose gold 70th birthday themed decorations and sent out some e-vites.  Between my sister, my step-father, and I we all agreed it was best to keep the guest list to just family.  So I settled to working on the menu.  We have lots of new food allergies in our family that I tried to work around while also keeping some of my mom's favorites in mind.  We settled on: smoked spiral ham and some plain smoked chicken (that my husband offered to cook on the smoker) a baked potato bar with bacon, cheese, chives, sour cream, and

Things That Make Me Laugh

I loved the challenge of this week's list for our 26 lists link up.  I don't know about you but I really need to laugh more lately.  It's such a great stress reliever. 1.  Books-- I love a good funny book that makes me laugh out loud.  I haven't read one in a while but if you have any recommendations I'm all ears.  The last book I can remember making me laugh was the Un-Honeymooners. 2  The boys being silly. 3.  Watching shows like America's Funniest Videos or Family Feud. 4. My husband.  Most people don't realize it but he's actually pretty funny and often makes me laugh. 5.  Whenever my sisters/ family get together and we get to reminiscing (particularly if my Aunt Elaine is around) we end up laughing so hard at all the old family stories that we are all in tears by the end of the night.  It's fabulous. 6. Movies like Mom's Night Out, Christmas Vacation, and Grown Ups make me laugh out loud. 7.  When my boys were youn
