My Favorite Cards and Papercrafts of 2025

Each  year I like to spent the last Monday of the month looking back at all my cards, papercrafts, and scrapbook pages from the whole year and picking some favorites to share.  I had such a hard time picking some this year since I feel like I made the most cards I've ever made and I was pretty busy scrapbooking so many beautiful trips too!

    I really love how you're able to remember an entire year through your scrapbook pages. I really wish that hobby was for me, but I just don't have that kind of creativity. Your cards are all so very special...anyone who receives one must feel very loved!

    Wowza! Seeing so many of your creative projects in one place really shows how talented you are! As I was scrolling through, I kept thinking of what treasure each scrapbook page must be... each a lovely reminder of a special time in your lives. And the cards are truly gifts of love for each person who was lucky enough to receive one!

    So many colorful, fun pages. Love the 'always take the scenic route' die cut. Did you make it? I could use it on my pages for our trip to Colorado. My sister and I had kind of gotten away from scrapbooking but we are back at it again with gusto.

    Such a beautiful assortment of cards, it would be so hard to choose a favorite from these. I do really love the fancy fold for Evan's birthday. Not sure why I always find fancy folds too complicated to make but they do make cards extra special! Such great scrapbook pages too for such great trips and hikes!

Share Our Lives: My Frequent Grocery Store Buys

It's the second Monday and time for Share Our Lives. The monthly link up where we share snippets of our lives. This month we're talking about some of our most frequent grocery store buys.  I don't know why but I find I am rather fascinated by what people buy at the grocery store. I tend to check out the carts of those around me as we shop too.  I've noticed our groceries change every few years. I remember when the boys were little I'd buy 3 gallons of milk a week! I had big milk drinkers. Even my husband would order milk to drink when we went out to restaurants...  now weirdly no one really ever drinks it so I don't buy any!     But since this is all about the things we DO buy and those things that we buy frequently I thought I'd share those things that seem to ALWAYS be on my list now. 15 Family Restaurant Games

When my boys were little and we'd take them out to eat I kept a small bag of toys in the car to grab on our way into any restaurant.  That way they would be entertained and a bit quieter while we enjoyed our meal. Now that the boys are older we don't keep a bag of toys handy but we do have few games we use to keep the boys occupied if they start getting bored or squirmy while we're waiting for our food or our check. While there are many phone apps, portable gaming systems and electronic games that could occupy my kids we prefer to use the time together at restaurants to connect with one another and so we tend to play games like: Hangman--   any restaurant that has paper place mats works well for this.  We take turns picking  a word and drawing our hangman stand then take turns calling out letters and seeing if we can solve the puzzle.   Tic Tac Toe-- This works best with pen on paper place mats but we have played making a grid with butter knives ...

21 Pilots The Clancy Tour Breach 2025

Last Tuesday, September 30th, Evan and I had tickets to see 21 Pilots in concert in Hartford Ct. The show was at an indoor/outdoor venue called the Xfinity Center (not to be confused with the other indoor/outdoor Xfinitiy Center in Massachusetts). We had never been to the Xfinity Center and had no idea what to expect. Reviews online were not favorable but we really enjoyed it. I'll liberally sprinkle photos in around all the details, feel free to skip them and just look- most of the details are for me to remember anyway!  I wore comfy clothes with large pockets so I didn't need to bring a bag with me. I carried just my phone (with my credit card tucked inside), keys, and ear plugs. We were surprised to find ourselves so close to the stage! We got an email a few days prior outlining what time the parking lots and various things opened including the doors and decided to switch up our plans a lot. Favorite TV Shows Growing Up in the 80's and early 90's

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? I can remember planning sleepovers and time with friends around TV Show lineups of our favorite shows... or else trying to set the VCR to record our favorite shows if we weren't going to be home. And through the years I had SO MANY favorites! Growing pains aired in 1985 which put me around age 8 and it stayed on the air until I was 15 or so; I'm pretty sure most people in my age group watched mostly for Kirk Cameron and all his antics.  I still have a soft spot for family sit-coms!  The Facts of Life aired when I was just 2  and stayed on the air until I was 11 so I'm sure the episodes I remember so fondly were either some of the later ones and then reruns shown later on when I was old enough to watch from the beginning.
