Cards and Scrapbook Pages I made in February

The first two cards are actually old cards that I pulled apart and remade. Sometimes I make a card and I am just not happy with them but I set them aside until inspiration strikes.  I also worked on making some Valentine cards and trying to use all of the digital stamps I've bought at least once.

Before:

I pulled off the top layers and happened to notice the Christmas image I had printed and colored in.

After:
I just added the star brads and moved the bow and now I LOVE it!

Before:

This delicate card tore right near the saying while in my drawer so I pulled off the saying entirely

After:
And added this adorable mouse image; it's so cute!

I had this card base with the snowflakes lying around and had been stumped as to how to finish it off when I spotted this adorable penguin trio and knew the snow would be perfect for them!

I finally got started scrapbooking our Hawaii trip! As each of the boys were born they had their own scrapbook and I always kept their books/photos separate from one another so when we  had an outing I typically made 3 pages; one for each of them. Then as we started going on big family trips I created family albums (some trips like Disney filled an entire album themselves!). So I've gotten into the habit of keeping 4 books going simultaneously.

In a weird way I actually find this easier since I get to use up even more photos! I rarely have any two pages that turn out the same and I try to pick photos for each of the boys' pages that either have them in it or showcase their favorite part of the day/thing about the trip.

OMG, I just love how you took cards and recreated them. That's like taking an outfit you don't love and finding ways to make it work.
And your scrapbooking is so impressive,

  19. Very creative cards and scrapbook pages. I like how you changed up some of your handmade card stash--the three penguins is my favorite! Your Hawaii pages look as bright and colorful and the state and accentuate the photo memories so wonderfully.

  20. Those penguins are the cutest thing. Love the scalloped treatment on the card with the single penguin. Beautiful. And you have showcased your gorgeous vacation pictures with such pretty pages. Do you use 4x6 size photos? I see so many scrapbook pages done with small photos and althought I trim mine sometimes, I can never maintain the quality of the photo and make it as small as I would like. Where did you find the Hawaiian scrapbook paper? So tropical and fun. Love the colors. You have perfectly captured the trip.

    1. I do use 4x6 photos. On occasion (if I think of it!) I'll order some wallet size ones to fit more on a page but I rarely ever remember. I found the Hawaii paper on Amazon in a pack believe it or not. I thought it was too perfect to pass up.
