Photos from Alec's Greece Trip Days 4 & 5
Thursday was another very busy day. They headed closer to the shore and checked out a grain museum.

They were all so happy to see the ocean (and get some of those cooler ocean breezes to go with it).
They checked out a raisin packaging facility.

They visited a winery. They ended up visiting many wineries on their trip and while they all blended somewhat together Alec learned really on that he did not enjoy wine... at all. Many places offered several tasting sample and he said after just a sip or two he often felt sick so he tried to sip slowly and usually offered his other samples around to anyone else that wanted more. He said one time they came around to fill everyone's glasses with water between servings and since he hadn't drank much of his yet and the pourer wasn't paying close attention his wine was watered way down with water... and he liked that much better. That and the winery that let them all try a kid wine made for children and not nearly as potent were his two favorites. LOL! A chip off the old block I guess as I have never ever acquired any sort of taste for wine either.
Friday June 19th also included lots and lots of stops. They were pretty much on the go most days.
Alexia bakery where they learned to make a couple different types of fried dough. Though they used the same batter Alec said the thin circles of dough taste completely different from the larger rounds we're used to seeing/tasting around here.

You have to work quickly to get the circles as the batter wants to break in half |
They had stopped in at a place that makes cheese and he snapped a quick photo of their refrigerated display case.

The first bee museum they toured. He came home with a few jars of honey.
They got to portion out cookies and those aprons they are wearing acted double as souvenirs too.
He came home with a pile of recipes and so many food things he picked up throughout his stay. Pretty sure his butter cookies with nutella filling were from here. A cathedral he liked that was right near their hotel. He took quite a few random photos of things that he liked the exterior architecture of.
