Top 10 Posts of 2025
At the end of the year I love to look back at the blog and see what was popular. I usually can't figure out why some posts were so much popular than others but it's still fun to look back and see. And sometimes it gives me some great "new" post ideas. One thing I noticed this year was that it did seem like overall most of my posts had more pageviews than in years past so I took that as an encouraging sign!
10. 2 College Visits in 2 Weekends-- published on August 18th with 1,3330 views-- this post was a mix of photos from two of the colleges Evan and I visited over the summer; Dean college and Bryant University.
9. Share Our Lives: 15 Ways I Save Time on Chores-- published January 13th with 1,341 views-- I broke down some simple ways I try to make household chores as streamlined as possible.
8. 20 of My Pet Peeves-- published on May 16th with over 1,392 views-- Basically a list of gripes and why these things drive me nutty.
7. Share Our Lives: Celebrating My Birthday- Published May 12th with 1,428 views-- In this post I talk about the ways I make my birthday feel special.
6. Maui Day #3 Road to Hana-- Published January 8 with 1,581 views- I was not at all surprised that at least one of our Hawaii posts made it into the top 10 (two others would have landed in the top 15).
5. Tips for Falling Asleep and Staying Asleep with Share Our Lives-- published on February 10th with 1,842 views --I can only assume that sleep in mid-life is a real struggle for so many!
4. Prime Purchases in August-- published September 1st with 2,466 views-- Why this Prime Purchases was so popular is anyone's guess!
3. Throwback Tuesdays: The ABC's of Homeschooling -- published March 11th with 5,427 views I have no clue why this Throwback Tuesday was such a bit hit compared to all the other (typically I'm lucky to get a few hundred pageviews with my Throwback posts!).
2. Vegetable Fried Rice-- published March 13 with 5,555 views-- I can only assume people were searching for meat free meals?
1. Hodgepodge Wednesdays: Let's Talk Italy-- published March 12 with 6,075 views-- I answered the question Joyce gave us with lots of photos included...
Do you blog? Have you ever checked out your top performing posts? Do you see any patterns? I never do. But I still love looking back!

Fun lookback! My biggest view post was among the shortest one that I wrote- I wrote it about (some) of my thoughts regarding Charlie Kirk´s murder. Also the posts that I wrote around that same time period also received a lot of views. The several posts before that one and several after had a lot of page views. But then the views went back down, lol- I guess I couldn´t keep ´em interested!!
ReplyDeleteI do find the same thing; when my page views spike I get a few back to back posts that have really high pageviews and then they go right back down to "normal."
DeleteWhat fun that was to read and catch up! Thanks for being part of my blogging world and this is my last link up sharing. I will be on Substack and writing from time to time. Hope your festive season is a great one Joanne! Take care, Denyse x
ReplyDeleteI do subscirbe to your Substack so that should help keep me in the loop!
DeleteI always love this kind of thing on my own blog; I was just looking at my statistics last week. It's always funny to me what gets the most views. There were a few days on my blog this year that were absolute trainwrecks in the comments section. Whew! Those were days that got lots of views. Ha!
ReplyDeleteWeirdly I don't see an uptick on comments on those posts that are popular.
DeleteMy top posts are usually prime purchase posts. And now the link up is ending?!?
ReplyDeleteI know! I am so bummed about that.
DeleteSo fun to look back! You reminded me of that very fun Hodgepodge about going to Italy- LOVE
ReplyDeleteI was so surprised by that one but it was a really fun one.
DeleteI love looking back at a year of posts! That tiramisu! Oh man...
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you! I am a sucker for a good tiramisu and Alec and I have made some yummy ones through the years.
DeleteIts fun to look back and see the results of our hard work
ReplyDeleteXoxo
Jodie
It sure is!
DeleteStill wish we had done the road to Hana when we were in Maui last year!
ReplyDeleteIt was definitely a wild ride.
DeleteIt's always so lovely to look back on the year in our blogs - you forget so much but it's like a great journal of thoughts and activities. I remeber a couple of these but I'm wondering how I missed so many as I regularly pop in on your blog!! #WWWHimsy
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how many I forget!
DeleteIt was so fun to look at your top posts. My top posts are always my Prime Purchases posts.
ReplyDeleteThose are always very popular.
DeleteHi Joanne, it's great to look back and see what posts resonated with readers the most. I haven't done that in ages. In fact I haven't even looked at my stats in ages! I suppose I should. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and thank you for linking up with us at #WWWhimsy xo
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting!
DeleteI have to admit I've never done it nor do I even know how to do it! It's interesting you have such a wide variety of posts that were the favorites rather than several being about recipes, books, or even trips.

Yeah, I do like to see that a wide variety of topics are hits.
DeleteHow interesting to see what your top posts were from the year. I love reading everything that you post, I think my top post this year was a random Friday Favourite post.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you so much!
DeleteI do look at those, but the main thing I notice is that because I'm looking at the "stats" page at end of the year, posts from years gone by that have built up over time (and probably search engines) always top those of the year. I might have to do just those based on the feed numbers for this year's posts.
ReplyDeleteYeah if I want to see what was popular that I posted just this year I scroll back through my blogger feed and take note of those that seem markedly higher than the rest otherwise it really is just the most popular of all time.
DeleteIt's always interesting to see which posts did well and which not so much. I never ceases to surprise me, the ones that do well. I can't tell at all. Often when I think 'this is a good one,' it doesn't get comments while a short post that I just slapped together does well.
ReplyDeleteIt really is! And I feel the same way.
DeleteI always love seeing what posts end up being the most popular each year. A lot of my Amazon posts tend to be most read, and so do my weekly recaps. I haven't been through my posts for 2025 yet so I'm curious to see what ends up making my top five!
ReplyDeleteI do too! I do find Amazon purchases are very popular.
DeleteIt's so fun taking a look back at the popular posts and I especially love your recipe post. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year Joanne.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteI'm surprised all of your Hawaii posts weren't the top 10! You take such beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you! I'm often surprised when one vacation post takes such precedent over others because if I'm enjoying reading about someone's trip I read ALL the posts they wrote about it. But I found even with our cruise only one or two of the posts brought in the pageviews...
