What's Up Wednesday in November

It's the last Wednesday of the month and that means it's time for What's Up Wednesday. This will be my last post of the month but I'll be back on Monday the 2nd with some of my favorite Prime Purchases of the year.

What We're Eating:

Sunday: Steak (and tofu) stir-fry over rice

Monday: Weight Watcher's American Chop Suey with salad

Tuesday: Crock pot Philly cheesesteak grinders with chips and salad

Wednesday: Pumpkin pancakes with fruit and bacon

Thursday: Our menu hasn't changed since 2020..Though we will sub out the crescent rolls for some homemade bread/rolls that Alec's cooking up for us.

Friday: Leftover turkey pie

Saturday: One of our favorite soup recipes; though I'm not sure which one yet!

What I'm Reminiscing About: Nothing much at all!

What I'm Loving:  We have had some really amazing weather this month. I am loving that it stayed warm so late this year. Plus we've had some really lovely sunrises.

What We've Been Up To: We toured two colleges, went on countless hikes, worked on some puzzles,

Ian and my husband went deep sea fishing

What I'm Dreading: Again, nothing much at all!

What I'm Working On: I'm literally working on prepping Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow.

What I'm Excited About: We are skipping Christmas this year to head off for a family vacation and we are all quite excited about it. These teen/young adult years are the best time to do this, I think, as no one even batted an eye about it. Luckily all our other family members are pretty okay with it too!

What I'm Watching/Reading: Rescue Hi-Surf (Hulu), Nobody Wants This (Netflix), Lincoln Lawyer (Netflix), latest season of Ghosts (Paramount+), I started re-watching Last Man Standing, the latest episodes of Great British Baking Show (Netflix). And just last week I started watching High Potential (Hulu) and I am loving it!

My reading wrap up will be out next Thursday for our Share Your Shelf link up.

What I'm Listening to: I spent much of my month listening to lots of audiobooks.

What I'm Wearing: Lots of sweaters with jeans or leggings.

We had a really hot day where I had to pull out my spring/summer bin!

What I'm Doing This Weekend: I don't think we have any plans but at some point on Sunday we'll be driving Alec back to college.

What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month: We're headed to Hawaii!!

What Else is New: We had houseguests twice this month; once for my mom and step-father to get all the banking in order for buying their new house and once when they came back up with their moving van to pick up everything from storage. Both times they were only here for a day or two but it was nice to see them again and hear all about the family in North Carolina.

  3. Your outfits are all so cute- each one kept being my favorite :). Hawaii sounds really nice. I love traveling with our young adult kids (though Donnie´s work precludes long trips so in general we don´t travel much) and what is neat is that all of them will remember this trip for sure!!

    1. Thank you so much! My husband is usually able to take 1 week off (as long as he keeps in contact via cell phone!) but this year we've managed to squeak out 2 weeks!! With the way the company has time off for the holidays he'll actually only miss 5 days of work.
