A Dozen of My Favorite Murder Mystery Series & Authors

 It's been awhile since I shared some of my favorite books and genres and today I've decided to focus on murder mystery authors/series.  I love a good mystery!  



1. J.D. Robb's In Death Series


2. The Cupcake Murder series by Jenna McKinlay (wonderful cupcake and frosting recipes are included too!)



3. Stephanie Plum Series by Janet Evanovich



4. Mary Jane Clark 



5. Carol Higgins Clark-- any will do but I really like her Regan Reilly series 



6. Mary Higgins Clark-- again I like all that I've read so far. The books where she teams up with Carol Higgins Clark are great fun too. 



7. Lucy Foley



8. Sally Hepworth



9. Good Girl's Guide to Murder Series by Holly Jackson



10. James Patterson; particularly his Alex Cross series



11. Linda Castillo's Kate Burkholder series


12. Shari Lapena

  1. Great list! I am reading The Book of Lost and Found by Lucy Foley right now. It is so good! I think you would like Lucy Clarke. I just read a fourth one of hers and I think it´s my favorite. I´ve heard of many of the ones you´ve listed here but not read them. I will check them out!

    1. I do have a Lucy Clarke book in my stack of reading material right now. I did enjoy the one book by her I've read but hesitated to add her to this list since I have only read the one book so far.

  5. I haven't read any of these. I will definitely be looking into these! I love a good mystery/suspense/thriller! The Tracy Crosswhite series by Robert Dugoni is great if you are looking for something new to try.

  8. Always love your book recommendations. Book reviews are my favorite posts. Going to pin some of these. Just learned that John Grisham has a sequel to The Firm, which I inhaled when it first came out. Need to check it out, too.

  15. Will look out for the Cupcake Murders. They look like my kind of a mystery. Have just finished Mary Higgin Clark's above book. And thought that it was amazing.

  18. I really liked A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, but I just couldn't get into the other two. Should I give them another try?
