Photos of the Week: Sept 11th

This week's challenges were really challenging to me! I struggled so much with just about all of these prompts (other than the photographer's choice) but like most photography challenges I finally just decided to start taking photos and see what I could come up with.

 – remembrance-- I have this spider plant that I keep alive in remembrance of my husband's grandmother; it was her plant.

– dainty-- I loved the dainty looking seeds on this plant.

– heart-- The leaves on this plant are shaped like a heart.

– TV-- Alec has been watching TV with me in the afternoon as I blog and he works on homework. We're making our way through Friends.

– your choice-- The views from the top of Mount Monadnock

    1. That's what we kept saying.. what would Fried gummy bears even taste like; wouldn't they melt or get even chewier?! Who looks at a gummy bear and thinks I wonder how good that would taste fried?!

  3. Love these prompts and your responses. I have a spider plant...or air plant...are they the same? It started as this tiny thing from a friend at church and has become quite large and hardy. My favorite photo this week are the delicate seeds on the plant in the second photo. They look like tiny hearts, too. Such a pretty sage gray green.

I need to catch up with iSpy. Have missed it. Still taking photos with great abandon. Now to get them into a post.

  5. Great photos. I have yet to start decorating for fall. I am so busy. I've been watching a lot of the older tv shows myself lately as there is too much scandalous stuff in new tv.

    1. That's as far as I've gotten (the pillow covers) and it's only because I ordered them from Amazon and they had just come in.

    1. I now have 4 that I have not killed and I'm pretty proud of that. I nearly killed the spider plant a time or two but my sister in law explained what to do and I actually revived it.

  10. The top pic looks like such a cozy spot and how wonderful to keep the plant alive in memory of Grandmother. I have struggled with that in the past.

    1. I can't believe I haven't killed it yet. I am not known for taking care of my plants... once they start looking sickly they usually just die.

  11. My fave has to be the dainty seeds (I've never seen that plant before), and love your craft/family room (a woman after my own heart), and I think your cushion with the pumpkins is so cute. Carol G
