Riverwalk Trip in August

I took myself on a photography walk just over two weeks ago now. When I think of "town" this is what I picture... which is rather funny because it's not the town I live in but it is the town I grew up in and is close enough that I never stopped thinking of it as my town.

My photos loaded in a completely random order but that's okay. While I enjoy the nature and the river I really need to remember to bring some earbuds or headphones with me next time as the cars passing by on the road are rather loud. I was listening to an audiobook on my phone while walking and snapping photos but kept having to pause it when I couldn't hear.

  1. So pretty! It's hard to imagine heavy traffic nearby. Visiting from SSPS.

    1. It is hard to imagine but the path follows right along the roadside; I just creatively cropped it out.

    1. Thanks! I'm trying to get out hiking/walking at least a couple of a times a week. It's definitely different alone but I figure the more I do it the more "normal" it will feel.

    1. Thanks! They do those as fund raisers-- local artists all get the same shape statue in white and can paint/decorate it then after they display them all around they get auctioned off.

  14. Your hometown is just beautiful, Joanne! The river that flows through my hometown is not well maintained and doesn't look pretty at all. Thanks for sharing this with us.

    1. Yes, we have lots of older homes and so many people have done a great job resorting them.

    1. Yep, we have had a decent amount of rain; I mean our rivers and lakes and things are drier than they should be but we've had enough rain to keep the plants flourishing.
