Highlights and Favorites from June; One Sentence a Day
We had a really wonderful month but I feel like it just flew by so fast! We had lots of gorgeous weather days and enough rain to keep everything alive and our rivers/lakes mostly full. We enjoyed lots of sweet treats, walks, and hikes this month too and I read SO many great books.
1. So thankful for beautiful weather while hiking. We woke up in Maine, head breakfast at our B&B and headed out to hike Flying Mountain, then Beech Mountain loop trail before finishing with the Canadian Cliff trail before heading into Bar Harbor to walk the shoreline trail, have dinner and dessert. 19,209 steps.
2. Thankful for bug spray-- even if it didn't seem to work all that well! After breakfast we hiked Razorback trail to Great Notch to Long Pond then had lunch at Beal's and drove the scenic loop through Acadia, stopping at thunder hole and ending in Bar Harbor for dinner and shopping. 20,559 steps.
3. Thankful for a fabulous last day of hiking. After breakfast we drove to the Schoodic Peninsula and hiked a very nice trail then stopped for ice cream before heading back to hike Jordan pond loop. 20,913 steps.
4. Thankful for a safe travel day home. Breakfast at the B&B and then it was time to head home we had a long day of driving but a delicious lunch and ice cream stop in York... and a detour to look at a new toy for my husband before arriving home at 7pm. 2,623 steps.
5. Thankful traffic wasn't nearly as bad today as it was yesterday. Mammogram in the morning then back up to New Hampshire with my husband to pick up said toy and trade in our old one then finished the day grocery shopping and making dinner. 6,722 steps.
6. Thankful for a quiet day at home. Spent the day doing laundry, making food, running to the bank and the library, and reading my latest novel and getting caught up on blogging.... basically doing ALL the things. 8,940 steps.
7. Thankful for a really lovely walk with Evan. Made some granola, then Evan talked me into walking the river walk, I napped in the afternoon and then after dinner "supervised" my husband starting to clear the trail of all the fallen trees with his chainsaw. 12,409 steps.

8. So thankful that I skipped the gym. Skipped the gym at the last minute, ran some errands, cleaned the upstairs, wrote my to do list for each day this week, cleaned the car inside & out, watered the new grass we planted.. basically I just never stopped moving all day. 9,235 steps.
9. So thankful for a quieter day with a shorter to do list.Yoga, sewing day with Alec (I was fixing his shirt sleeves while he learned to sew patches onto his satchel), then spent a large part of the day reading in the sun. 5,238 steps.
10. Thankful Alec made lentil soup and had leftovers for my lunch Gym, took Evan to work so I could shop at Target, then home to blog and eat lunch before picking him back up. 5,858 steps.
11. Thankful for air conditioning with a heat advisory in effect today. Baked Evan's cupcakes, went strawberry picking and grocery shopping with Alec, then he packed for his trip and I tried to make sure he wasn't forgetting anything. 7,613 steps.
12. Thankful Evan's cupcakes turned out so cute. Gym. made frosting & decorated Evan's cupcakes, cleaned the downstairs, did laundry and did quite a bit of reading-- another super hot day where I mostly stayed inside. 8,916 steps.
13. Thankful for a wonderful graduation party with perfect weather. Spent most of the day getting ready for Evan's graduation party then visiting with the family while celebrating him and his accomplishments. 4,067 steps.
14. Thankful for one last family dinner before Alec leaves on his trip. Worked on the yard and trying to get our old sprinkler system working again while I also managed to read an entire book. 5,065 steps.
15. Thankful Alec made it safely to Greece! My husband had the day off so we could drive Alec to Boston and drop him off for his trip to Greece, after arriving home and having lunch Evan and I ran some errands then I went for a walk and made some strawberry jam after dinner. 7,134 steps.
16. Always so thankful when my papercrafts turn out so well! While I ate breakfast and lunch outside while reading, I spent most of my day crafting making father's day cards and working on scrapbook pages galore. 4,336 steps.

17. Thankful for a fresh cut. Had an early morning hair appointment then spent time scrapbooking, reading, cooking, and we ended the night taking the boys out for ice cream. 5,844 steps.
18. So thankful the tornado watch never materialized into something more. Gym, then spent a rainy/windy day at home blogging, working on my latest painting, & reading my book. 8,448 steps.

19. Thankful for a successful morning of shopping. Gym, went shopping for Father's day gifts then spent the afternoon reading my latest book and texting with Alec. 7,279 steps.

20. So thankful we were able to start fixing our sprinkler system with minimal holes in our yard. I mostly spent the day reading, though I did weed Alec's garden and "helped" my husband trench the yard to repair our sprinkler system. 3,897 steps.
21. So thankful I didn't "mess" up my painting! I woke to Alec texting photos to me and got a message from my husband about his fishing trip since he and Ian were already out on the water; I spent my day reading, doing laundry, blogging, and talking with Evan then we ended the night getting ice cream with my parents. 4,523 steps.

22. Thankful for so many lovely blooms on our hike. Gym, Evan and I went to try and find Clark's Arboretum (but not parking was available) so we hiked around Moore State park before the rains came. 7,175 steps.
23. So thankful to see the beautiful rainbow around sunset/dusk. Another very rainy day so after my yoga class and quick mid-week grocery stop for more fresh fruit I spent most of the day curled up reading. 4,842 steps

24. Thankful for good books and fabulous weather. Gym, a quiet day spent home alone, voted in town budget referendum #2. 6,752 steps.
25. Thankful for a very productive day. I cleaned the whole upstairs, worked a ton on my blog trying o update old posts and started 3 new books. 6,406 steps.
26. Thankful for great audiobooks that motivate me to keep cleaning. Gym in the rain, home to do more cleaning, worked on the blog, and helped Evan fill out yet another form for his college-- this time a tough one on what classes he'd like to take. 6,715 steps.
27. Thankful for the wonderfully sweet librarians we have. Grocery shopping, library, then spent my day reading and working on the blog. 4,103 steps.
28. Thankful for a really delicious smoked corn beef brisket for dinner. Helped my husband work on our sprinkler system; we got 3 of the 7 zones working so far. 4,595 steps.
29. Thankful I was finally able to get gas at the 4th place I stopped today. Gym, went for a walk on the Burilville Bike Path with my mom & Evan, 11,846 steps.
30. Thankful for air conditioning with the heatwave that started today. Spent my day inside painting, reading, blogging, and cleaning. 4,565 steps.
