Talking About it Tuesdays #125
What a weekend! We celebrated Evan's high school graduation and then yesterday we sent Alec on his way to Greece. EEK! I can't wait to get updates and pictures from him. We added an international plan to his phone for the next couple of weeks and I told him I expect at least 1 "proof of life" photo each day. We'll see how he does...
Now, onto today's party! I can't wait to see what you share this week.

This party will remain open until the weekend. My hope is that everyone will share all sorts of wonderful posts: travel, recipes, how to's, crafting ideas, and more-- up to 3 posts per blog. Anything that is family friendly is welcome; even old posts that you'd like to get some new views.

Congrats to Evan and Alec! I hope that Alec has a wonderful time in Greece. Will you be a plant mama for his garden while he's gone? Thanks for the link up!
ReplyDeleteYes, I am plant mama but he said I only need to water once in the morning and once after dinner. Nothing is growing very well so there is nothing to harvest/pick yet. We're starting to suspect the compost & soil we got was no good as none of our grass seed is growing in all the spots we tried fixing in the yard either.
DeleteWow! Greece, so exciting. I love your "Proof of Life" comment. That sounds just like me. I worry about my adult kids if I don't hear from them.
ReplyDeleteIt's something I started doing with my own mother in law and mom once my mother in law stopped coming on vacations with us. It's a little tricky with such a time zone change as today's photos came in around midnight for me and early morning for him. But that's okay!
DeleteHow exciting to be heading to Greece. I like the "proof of life" photo a day idea! Moms need that!!
ReplyDeleteWe do! I told him to feel free to send more than 1 as I've always wanted to see Greece too.
DeleteThat squash, zucchini and tomato casserole looks so yummy! Congrats to Evan and what an exciting time for Alec! So much to celebrate... although my mama heart operates the same way yours seems to. I'm always grateful for any proof of life I receive from my adult kids, especially when they are away from "home"! Thanks for the party!
ReplyDeleteI was nervous dropping him off but by the time we arrived home I was relaxed knowing he's going to have a great time.
DeleteWow, what a huge week for you! I've always wanted to go to Greece--I'm sure he'll have an amazing time. I hope he does send you "proof of life" photos because that will be so fun for you. :) Thank you for hosting!
ReplyDeleteI have too! I really want to see all that he gets to see.
DeleteSo much stuff going on for you right now! I hope Alec has a fabulous time. I feel like you have to have an international plan now since so much of travel is from your phone - so good call.
ReplyDeleteThe time difference is tricky but it's nice to wake up to a photo.
Yeah it has been a busy summer for sure.
DeleteWow. Congrats to the proud Mama. My shares at Talking About it Tuesday's party 125 are #37, 38, and 39. Nancy Andres @ Colors4Health

DeleteCongratulations to Evan and best wishes for an enjoyable trip to Alec! Both big events in their lives. I traveled through Italy when I was young and always said it was one of the best things I ever did!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It has been a busy summer. Both of my younger two really hope to have lots of time for travel in Europe during and after college so this is a good starting point for me.
DeleteThanks so much for featuring my Island Daydreams tablescape! You've brighten my gray, rainy day :)

Exactly! He doesn't even have to text any words.
DeleteTHank you for hosting - sorry I'm so slow in commenting atm. This week got away from me but on it now!
ReplyDeleteThat's fine; it happens to me all the time. Life gets busy. I get it.
DeleteWow Joanne, so much going on in your world with Evan’s graduation and sending off Alec to Greece. I hope you’re getting those photos. Have a great week and thank you for hosting.
ReplyDeleteYes, it has been a busy time for sure. Alec has been sending multiple photos a day and he's even in some of them! It looks like he's having a great time.
DeleteWow! It's a big week for you! I love that...one proof of life pic each day! Hahaha. I told my daughter the same when she went on a 10 day cruise last year.
ReplyDeleteIt was a big week. Now this week feels oddly calm/boring but I've been getting in lots of crafting time!
DeleteThank you for sharing my blueberry scrubby!
