Late Spring/Early Summer Garden Photos
I took my big camera and zoom lens out into the yard over the weekend and snapped some photos of things that are blooming in my garden right now.
Nearly all my lilies are in bloom; though I do have two more plants that have lots of buds but haven't bloomed yet.
My hydrangeas are just starting to bloom.
My honeysuckle plant has been in our garden forever and I don't think I've ever seen a year with so many blooms on it. I took a lot of photos because I think these might make a great painting.

ReplyDeleteIt really does smell so nice.
DeleteI love the photos! My daylilies are starting to bloom, too. I need to plant some other lilies, but I'm pretty sure the bunnies would eat them.

I haven't had problems with that but something ate all the leaves off my coral rose bush last year and it never recovered... I still have no idea what it was that did that.
DeleteYou have such lovely flowers in your garden Joanne. How did you go about that? I could use some inspiration and tips.
ReplyDeleteHonestly? I just walk around the garden center and when something catches my eye I bring it home, plant it in the ground, and hope for the best.. if it dies I try something else in that place next time. It's been a lot of trial and error over the years!
DeleteStunning blooms and photos! I can't decide which flower I love best.

DeleteAll are so pretty! The heat is coming for us this week so it is time for plants to die around here, ha!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Our temps are supposed to hit upper 90's/low 100's this week so I don't think mine will be doing well for much longer.
DeleteSuch a pretty walk through all your blossoms! I agree with you that your honeysuckle will make for a gorgeous painting! They're so delicate! I hope you'll share your painting (if you're comfortable, of course) whenever you get to it!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteYour hydrangeas look like they're going to be a beautiful color!
ReplyDeleteI love this variety because they start out sort of blue green then turn blue then purple then a deep violet before they turn burgundy at the end of summer.
