Share 4 Somethings in April, 2026
Tomorrow is the last Saturday of the month and time for Share 4 Somethings with Jenn. This year we're sharing something we loved, something that sustained us, something we're carrying forward, and something we're making space for each month.
Something I loved:
Our new patio-- Ian (and myself, Evan, and my husband) worked on putting in a small patio for our generator and Ian's new fuel tank/pump to sit on. We sanded and painted our generator to match and while I can't say it looks lovely it looks so much better than it used to.
Touring the Biltmore!
Touring Kingscote with Evan:
Breakfast with Alec-- not only was the food incredible but the company was really nice too.
Something that sustained me: I feel like I ate so good this month (and by that I mean more that the food tasted amazing rather than it was incredibly healthy)... but I still managed to maintain my weight so I'm happy. This has felt sustaining and it has made me so happy to not be making every single meal, every single day, all month long. I NEEDED this break.
Date night with my husband at the Cheesecake Factory:
Breakfast at the AirB&B provided by Joyce, Marilyn, & Maria
Dinner at Sierra Nevada Brewing company:
Ice cream from Celtic Creamery & The Biltmore:
Dinner from Tupelo Honey:
Freshly made sandwich at a random stop at the airport:
Lunch out with Evan (for some reason I have craving red meat constantly!):
Something I'm carrying forward: An "All Things in Moderation" mindset.
Something I'm making space for: Alec is moving home this coming Wednesday but my brother doesn't move out until Friday (or maybe even Saturday depending on his schedule) so we're quite literally making room for all of Alec's stuff and Alec himself.

I'm glad you had a break from cooking- sometimes breaks are just needed! Your food pics all look really good. The burger with the sauteed veggies looks amazing. How fun to have another date night- you guys are so good about getting away together for a meal/night out. The blog trip was such a great experience and I'm happy for you that it included the Biltmore!! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteGood luck as you transition Alec back and say bye to your brother. Great job on the new place for the generator! You had some good meals this month! I'm sure you walked a lot and it all evened out!
ReplyDeleteYeah! Alec's school year seemed so quick to me- how about you? All of your meals look so delish!
ReplyDeleteThat patio will be so amazing! I have a blogger weekend planned in July and I'm so looking forward to it and after seeing yours.
