10 on the 10th in April, 2026

It's the 10th and time for 10 on the 10th with Marsha. This month we're back to answering some would you rather questions. These are often a little wacky and a whole lot of fun!

1. Would you rather rock a mullet or a perm? Well this one is a piece of cake as I already rock a perm and have for as far back as I can remember.

2. Would you rather have a magic carpet or a crystal ball? I'm not a fan of heights so I'll go with crystal ball. I'm not sure I'd really use it much but it would look pretty.

3. Would you rather be able to teleport anywhere instantly or read minds? Teleport anywhere (think of the airline savings!).. besides knowing what it's like in my mind I have zero desire to read anyone else's.

4. Would you rather eat chocolate flavored broccoli or broccoli flavored chocolate? Chocolate flavored broccoli for sure! I mean I like broccoli just fine the way it is but I'm pretty sure we'd eat it even more if it tasted like chocolate.

5. Would you rather have a talking toilet or a talking fridge? Neither but I'd pick fridge over toilet.. something tells me I don't want to know what the toilet would say!

6.  Would you rather sneeze glitter or cry jelly? Both sound really messy but since I tend to cry far less than I sneeze I'll go with cry jelly.

7. Would you rather make a snowman or  build a sandcastle? Sandcastle! That hopefully means I'm on a nice warm beach somewhere and I have had more than enough of winter at this point.

8. Would you rather have a pet unicorn or a pet dragon? Neither-- no pets for me. They are just far too much work and I've never been a huge fan of unicorns or dragons.

9. Would you rather be the funniest person in the room or the smartest? Hm.. this is a tricky one. I guess I'll go with funniest.

10. Would you rather have a conversation with your past self or your future self? Probably my future self; I know most conversations with my past self would be reassuring me that everything would work out just fine and to stop worrying and I'm hoping that's what future me would say too. I can always use the help tamping down that anxiety!

  5. This was a lot of fun to read! And now I'm thinking about some of my answers... Also, I didn't know your hair was permed. I assumed you had naturally curly hair!

    1. I was born with really curly hair but by elementary school it was pin straight so I've pretty much had perms from middle school on.

  6. I think you and I are on the same page with most of these. However, I think I would rather sneeze glitter! And no - I definitely do not want to read people's minds.

  12. These are fun questions and I love your answers. Sneeze glitter or cry jelly did make me chuckle, I would go with cry jelly too.

  14. I'm not a fan of heights either but I would make an exception for a magic carpet! I've always wanted one (and in my fantasy it doesn't just fly but also vacuums itself).

    1. Oh yes, I definitely think magic carpets must be self cleaning-- all part of the magic!

  15. Wow, Marsha's questions were fun!! You made some good points - had thought sneezing glitter could be super cool and pretty but didn't think about the mess. And I am not a fan of heights either but being able to use a magic carpet or teleport would be a big money saver.

  17. What a fun set of questions to kick off the month of April! I am right there with you on the teleportation, skipping the airport lines and saving on airfare sounds like an absolute dream come true. Your answer about the chocolate-flavored broccoli made me laugh, as that might be the only way to get some of the pickier eaters at the table to ask for seconds!

I think choosing to talk to your future self is a very wise move for a bit of peace of mind. It is always nice to have a reminder from someone who has already been there that everything is going to turn out just fine in the end.

  18. Your answers were sensible and silly, which made this such a fun read. Teleportation for the win, and absolutely no to a talking toilet. That could get scary! And I loved what you said about your future self.

  19. These are the funniest, most unique questions! I enjoyed reading your answers so much! I had no clue that you have a perm! I always assumed your hair was naturally curly!

    1. Yep, most people do. I was born with super curly/ Shirley Temple style ringlets that went perfectly straight by elementary school but I began perming it around middle school and never went back to straight hair. My hair loves the curl and I only have to perm it once a year 9 or every 9-10 months.
