What's Up Wednesday: March 2026
Can you believe it's the last Wednesday of the month and time to link up with Shay and Sheaffer for What's Up Wednesday? I feel like this month flew by. We have had a great month with just a hint of spring here and there.
What We're Eating:
Sunday: My 3 meat sauce with spaghetti, garlic bread, and salad.
Monday: Homemade shepherd's pie with salad
Tuesday: Baked ham, egg noodles, corn & salad
Wednesday: Chicken Caesar salad wraps with fries and salad
Thursday: Turkey stuffed peppers w/salad
Friday: Steak & Shrimp stir-fry over rice
What I'm Reminiscing About: We went to Evan's accepted student day and it's just baffling to me that this little guy, my youngest, is heading off to college in the fall.
What I'm Loving: Wicked was SOO good! Alec and I had a lovely night in Providence and enjoyed seeing the musical together.
What We've Been Up To: Our month started out with lots of snow so we walked the paved streets, read, worked on crafts, etc. Alec was home on spring break and Ian was off in Las Vegas with his grandfather. My husband and I enjoyed a date night out at Davio's Italian Steakhouse & Cupcake Charlie's. Alec and I enjoyed a fun night out in Providence seeing Wicked and trying a new pizza/pasta place. Evan, my husband, and I went to Evan's accepted student day at Clark, we spent a couple of days without power so I worked on puzzles and we went on some more walks (notice the snow melt from the first photo in this series to the last!).
What I'm Dreading: Nothing much right now.
What I'm Working On: I haven't been working on much. I've been very unmotivated to work on cards or scrapbooking pages and I've been staring at a blank canvas for nearly a month now. Hopefully some creative inspiration will strike soon.
What I'm Excited About: Spring! If it ever decides to show it's face, I am very, very ready for it!!
What I'm Watching/Reading: Best Medicine (Hulu), latest season of Paradise (Hulu), Jurassic World Rebirth (Netflix), we were without power for a few days so I went old school watching DVD's like How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Just Go With It, Notting Hill, and I've been re-watching Grace and Frankie (Netflix).
I read another dozen or so great books this month!
What I'm Doing This Weekend: We don't have any plans at the moment.
What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month: Girls' trip to Asheville area! Alec finishes his second year of college and moves home, Ian turns 22.
What Else is New: Nothing much that I can think of.

I was so excited to watch the snow melt this month! And I was listening to 80s music yesterday while I painted the last coat in Rachel's bedroom. So much fun!
ReplyDeleteI bet you are having a blast adding those final touches to the remodel!
DeleteLooking great my friend! Ok so many good things in this post- LOVE the snow melting- yes please. Spring is free to arrive here, too, any time now- argh! Anyway, tell me about that new pizza place. The pizza looks fabulous! So many great reads- adding some to my list and so appreciate you sharing them!
ReplyDeleteBettola's is just outside providence in Cranston (just 12 minutes away from the PPAC) and the make their own proprietary dough blend that mixes the fresh quality ingredients of VPN pizza (a true Neapolitan pizza) with the classic flavor and firmness of NY style pies. They were so good! They also had freshly made pasta dishes that looked incredible too.
DeleteThe pizzas look just how I like them; I am a pizza snob. If I'm gonna waste the calories it needs to be good - usually.
ReplyDeleteThis month has flown! You did a lot!
I am unmotivated to declutter like I need to so I get that. I think once I start I will go quickly but lots of the stuff is sentimental so I know that is a barrier. Your baby is going to college! It goes so quickly. I have had lots of those feelings since Mason moving out. How did I get here so quickly?
I am snob about pizza too and rarely eat it for that reason but there are quite a few places near Alec that make everything from scratch and wow do they taste amazing.
DeleteThe baby leaving home for college hits differently that is for sure! You have been up to so many good/fun activities in spite of the weather. Goodness, you've gotten A LOT of snow. You will be ready for spring weather for sure!! That shake looks so good as does your yummy meal out with your husband.
ReplyDeleteI think it might be more that I just never expected him to want to go to college; I assumed if anything he'd be commuting but would never want to live in a dorm. He's quite the introverted homebody so this could be quite interesting!
DeleteI just watched the first episode of season 2 of Paradise and wow! I don't know why I was resisting watching!
ReplyDeleteIt really is so good!
DeleteI love your menu. I may copy it.

Thank you! Copy away!
DeleteThat's just so great that you got to see Wicked! It's at the top of my Broadway bucket list! And YES to Paradise... it is such a fantastic show!
ReplyDeleteIt was on the top of my list for YEARS!
DeleteCan you believe almost three months have already gone by? Good luck with getting some spring soon!
ReplyDeleteCrazy to think 1/4 of the year is nearly over already!
DeleteAt least you're getting a lot of use out of your sweaters, LOL. Our summer came so early this year, and I'm wishing I had worn more of them when it was chilly.
ReplyDeleteWe loved the play Wicked too, but not the movie so much.
XOXO
Jodie
I am for sure getting lots of use out of them this winter and I'm kicking myself for culling through all my sweatshirts and hoodies so thoroughly last spring!
DeleteWow--the snow is still high there! Our reservoirs are dwindling to 50% capacity--we need lots of snow or rain but it is sadly not happening this year. Your outfits are so pretty and your dinner(s) look delicious. It was so sweet seeing Evan's baby photos!
ReplyDeleteWe have had a TON of rain this past week and all the snow is gone (just a few tiny piles left where the snow was plowed really really high/big).
DeleteI have been unmotivated in the creativity department too. My embroidery project has been sitting (untouched) on the table for weeks! Evan was such a cute baby! I always called Jack my "Gerber baby" because he just looked like that classic baby picture. Evan reminds me of that too!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteThose stuffed peppers look good - we love them, I just forget about making them all the time!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Two Blues Fans - http://bluesfansforever.blogspot.com/
I hardly ever think of making them either!
DeleteHeaded to college in the fall. Whoosh goes the time. Hope you get to creating again real soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I finally started a new painting.
DeleteWoohooooo!!!! Go you. Rah.
DeleteThanks! It felt great.
DeleteOh, I am envious!!! I want to go to Asheville so bad!! It is on my bucket list. I want to go to Biltmore Estate!! One day!!! I looked up tickets to fly but not quite in my budget. It isn't a terrible drive and I may just do it one day!
ReplyDeleteI love all your post today! Oh, the puzzle.... love it.
I have always wanted to see the Biltmore (but I'm not sure we're going to get there!). Flying is crazy expensive into that airport for some reason and I had such a hard time finding a flight.
DeleteIs it just me, or do you feel the urge to run as fast as you can when you see a long straight road? It's like when you see dirty carpet. We all feel this need to do some carpet cleaning. Luckily, I can usually force that feeling down. On long roads though, I give in and run.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, definitely... but then I remember I don't like to run. LOL
DeleteI loved Grace & Frankie! And I will also never get tired of How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days.
ReplyDeleteSame!
DeleteIt's been awhile since I saw "Wicked" on stage but what a grand experience! You have some super cute outfits today!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteI always enjoy these What’s Up Wednesday posts—they’re such a fun mix of everyday life! It sounds like you had a really full month!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI just saw "Wicked" this past summer with my daughter...second time with her. I have actually lost count of the number of times I've seen it. I also saw it in London! Needless to say, it's my favorite! Grace & Frankie is such a great series. I really wish they'd do a reunion special to "catch us up!" I especially love that tulip card! Asheville should be beautiful next month! What a fun month for you!

Aw, thank you!
DeleteWicked is such an amazing play to see on the stage. I hope we will get experience some nice spring weather in Asheville!
ReplyDeleteIt's got to be better than our weather here; I've already started comparing the daily forecasts and have been checking it every couple of days.
DeleteI love stuffed peppers, we had it last Saturday. And I wanted to change my closets for spring, but we get snow today! Gosh, it's very cold here this week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bummer. We had a dusting of snow on Tuesday.
DeleteI love these throwbacks pics of your kids. I can't wait for warmer weather either and I feel you on sometimes not being inspired with our art.

Aw, thank you!
DeleteIt's funny how we are already in spring clothes down here and up there, it's still sweater season. My son just go back from his spring break in California and I cannot wait to hear about it! Looks like he had a lot of fun!

I am so glad he had a great time in California!
DeleteAll your food looks so good!
ReplyDeleteAww! They grow up so fast don't they but you must be so proud of the young men that you have raised.
Fab photos! It looks like a good month!
Aw, thank you!
DeleteYour stuffed peppers look very good. I never made something like that, but I think I wanna try!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
