Styling Spring Trends/Silk Scarves with Ageless Style

It's the third Thursday of the month and time for another ageless style challenge. This month Bo picked a list of spring trends for us to pick from and style so each person will most likely end up with a different spring trend to focus on. Since it really, really does not feel like spring here yet I picked silk scarves as the trend to focus on.

As much as I love scarves and wear them year round, I actually didn't have any silk ones... so I turned to Amazon! I found 1 I really liked (in 2 patterns) and have had fun styling them. I bought this scarf in "pink & yellow blossoms" "oil painting irises."

I tend to like the long rectangular scarves best as I can tie them so many ways.  Wrapped around the neck a few times and tied.

Same outfit, different tie on the scarf, and swapped out the socks/shoes for a bit more of a spring feel.

I tied the ends together of my other scarf and used it like an infinity scarf.

This time I folded the scarf in half then knotted opposite corners together to make a wider kerchief style scarf.

This last one isn't a silk scarf; but it is a super cute little square scarf that has me thinking of spring with it's purple tones and floral pattern.

  1. That is such a pretty scarf and I love all the different ways you styled it. I didn't take "silk" as seriously as you did. :) I just featured a satiny/silky scarf vs a knit or cloth one.

    1. I only have knit or cloth ones aside from these two.

  2. I don't think I ever owned a silk scarf myself. I know we had one at home - my mother's? - when I was a kid because it was always said you should wear a silk scarf for a sore throat.
    Cute looks!

    1. I don't own much of anything in silk as I honestly don't like the texture much. But I have been wearing these scarves a lot. They were a fun addition to my wardrobe.

  8. What a beautiful scarf you found. I rarely, if ever wear a scarf tied close to my neck, it bugs me, but I love seeing them on other people! I used to like wearing them loose though and I have seen people tie them to their purse. Anyway, I love the pretty blossoms you picked out, it's such a beautiful pallet and absolutely perfect for spring. I think you'll get so much use out of it.

    1. Aw, thank you so much! It used to bother me having it close to my neck but I really love it lately as it adds some much needed warmth.

  9. Such pretty patterns and colors! I love my spring scarves, but there are not many weeks where I can wear them because it gets really hot fast. So I am taking advantage now! I love that they can be tied different ways and I thrifted some squares ones this past year so I have even more variety. And they can be tied at the belt loop, on overalls straps, on purses... so many ways to add a little color!!

    1. I definitely tend to reach for them more when I'm cold too. I don't think of them as often in spring and summer.

  17. You have such a nice collection of silk scarves Joanne. I like the way you styled them. When I was working in the city I used to wear them all the time. I think they are back in style and popular now. Thank you for inspiring me to wear them.
