Cards & Scrapbook Pages I Made in February

I made some fun and cute Valentine cards using some Digital Stamps I bought on Etsy. I buy them through DisDigiStamps. 




I used my Stampin Up! sunflowers embossing folder to make sympathy cards. 

Then I used both the Spellbinders Betterpress and Spellbinders Hot Foil system to make these cards.

I had a few scrapbook pages from the fall to work on; our trip to see Hadestown, the Monet Immersive experience, and the 21 Pilot's concert.

Favorite TV Shows Growing Up in the 80's and early 90's

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? I can remember planning sleepovers and time with friends around TV Show lineups of our favorite shows... or else trying to set the VCR to record our favorite shows if we weren't going to be home. 15 Family Restaurant Games

When my boys were little and we'd take them out to eat I kept a small bag of toys in the car to grab on our way into any restaurant.  That way they would be entertained and a bit quieter while we enjoyed our meal. Now that the boys are older we don't keep a bag of toys handy but we do have few games we use to keep the boys occupied if they start getting bored or squirmy while we're waiting for our food or our check. While there are many phone apps, portable gaming systems and electronic games that could occupy my kids we prefer to use the time together at restaurants to connect with one another and so we tend to play games like: Hangman--   any restaurant that has paper place mats works well for this.  We take turns picking  a word and drawing our hangman stand then take turns calling out letters and seeing if we can solve the puzzle.   Tic Tac Toe-- This works best with pen on paper place mats but we have played making a grid with butter knives ...

Talking About it Tuesday #107

Oh wow; what a weird, weird week it's been! Last Tuesday I headed off to Yoga class but less than 1/4 of the way through the class I was hit with what I was so sure was a stomach bug (cold sweat, dizziness, stomach pain, etc) so I left, went home, and rested.... and 4 hours later everything passed and I felt fine. Ate lunch, dinner, etc. Weird but glad to be feeling better I shrugged it off-- still have no clue what that was but I've felt fine ever since.    Then on Wednesday we noticed our thermostat turned red which means there's a problem with our heating system. Luckily my husband is one of those guys with skills and got it working again (since it was only 5 when we woke up the next morning!). The heat had stopped working again at some point in the night but the house was still 60 and he worked to get it going again and ordered the parts we need to fix it for good. Movies I've Enjoyed These Last 2 Years

I often watch movies but rarely think to share about whether I enjoyed them or not! I thought this was the year to start sharing more about what I've watched. So I'm starting with a large round up of movies I've really enjoyed watching these past 2 years. Not all of them were made during the last 2 years but that is when I "discovered" them.  I would happily re-watch any of these and, to me, that is a sure sign I enjoyed the movie!  I Like Me (2025)-- I LOVED John Candy movies growing up and this documentary about him and his life was so darn sweet.  Jerry & Marge Go Large (2022) -- I love a good based on a true story movie and this one about a man who cracked a mathematical loophole in the lottery. Then him and his wife revive their small Michigan town driving back and forth to Massachusetts to buy their tickets and create a whole company pooling investments from townsfolk that they pour back into the town.   Happy Gilmore 2 (2025)-- While not the most int...
