Talking About it Tuesdays #97
While my husband and I ended up at David Burke steakhouse at Foxwoods for our date night again this weekend, we met up with a co-worker of my husband's and his wife for sort of a double date. It was fun and I honestly don't think we've been out with another couple (that wasn't family) since before the boys were born! How was your weekend?
A few randomly selected features:
Nutter Butter Turkey Cookies Recipe by Drugstore Divas
This party will remain open until the weekend. My hope is that everyone will share all sorts of wonderful posts: travel, recipes, how to's, crafting ideas, and more-- up to 3 posts per blog. Anything that is family friendly is welcome; even old posts that you'd like to get some new views.

ReplyDeleteYeah, sorry about that Inlinkz itself is down. Nothing I can do about that.
DeleteThe double date sounds fun! We haven´t had one recently- I should do something about that. I like randomly featuring posts from the link up. I will check out those adorable turkeys and the brownies. WOW- they both look so good!
ReplyDeleteDon't those brownies look incredible?! If my brother and his brood had elected to join us for Thanksgiving I would have made those as our 3rd dessert.
DeleteDouble dates are the best!
ReplyDeleteThey really are so fun. I had kind of forgotten.
DeleteThank you so much for featuring my fall card! I so appreciate. I'm glad you had so much fun on your double date, although I'm shocked how long you have gone. You will have to do that more often!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! We don't really have any couple friends... we're kind of loners I guess..
DeleteSounds like a fun date! Random number generator is a good idea. Back when I was hosting parties, I always knew I was biased towards certain subjects.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHow fun! Double dates can be fun! Sorry about the inlinx! Here's my post - lol: https://coffeeandcocktailsatthecasa.com/2025/11/18/dinner-queue/
ReplyDeleteThanks! I knew it wasn't just me at least.. no one's link up was working that day.
DeleteI like the random selections and you landed on some good ones. Those brownies look so good! Glad you enjoyed your double date!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThese features all look great! I don't think you can go wrong! The double date sounded fun! I'm having trouble linking up so I'll come back later and try again. Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteYeah, sorry about that. Inlinkz itself was down for a good part of the day.
DeleteSteakhouse....sounds good I think I would like one. It sounds that you had a very nice evening. Here winter is going to come...the temperatures in the morning are down to minus.
ReplyDeleteHave a good time

Yep, we've woken to frost and ice on the lake a few times so I know snow and freezing temps are just a matter of time.
DeleteHappy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteThank you!

Thanks for hosting. I don't think my husband and I have been on a double date for years. Of course, I am one of those homebodies as I have gotten older lol.
ReplyDeleteI am too! I always have been though.
DeleteMorning Joanne, thank you for a lovely party. Yes, Inlinkz was down for almost 24 hours, glad it's restored.
ReplyDeleteMy entries this week #24-26
Please do share with SSPS & HIH https://esmesalon.com/tag/seniorsalonpitstop/
I am so glad it was restored! Thanks for linking up.
DeleteI remember when my husband and I became empty nesters and we wondered how we'd reconnect with other couples/make friends as so much of our lives had revolved around our girls and their friends and activities for so many years. It's been a nice change as we've rediscovered other relationships and the fun we can have! Thanks so much for the party!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteHi Joanne and happy Tues. My shares this time are #27, 28, and 30. Wishing you and your readers a good day and much joy in NOV.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Nancy!
DeleteYou look super duper cute! The nutter butters are fun idea.
ReplyDeleteI thought those were so cute! My boys would have loved them when they were younger.
DeleteI noticed that the link site was down today too...I'm sharing this after I saw someone else comment. Sounds like you had a nice time going out to dinner! Yay! that's always nice.
ReplyDeleteWe really did! We all agreed we'd have to do it again soon.
DeleteSounds like a fun date. Coincidentally, I have been thinking about using a random number generator to pick my features at my linkup, too! Not sure yet, but maybe. :) Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I'll use it every week but I definitely plan on using it more. It was nice to have one less thing to think about.
DeleteThanks for the feature. I love the random generator!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteWhile hubby and I haven't been on a date since our anniversary trip, we have been carving time for ourselves in the evenings or on the weekend. As the boys get older and play with kids, it's nice to be able to hang out more!

That is nice!
DeleteJoanne, I understand how hard it is to pick out the features and using the generator was a good idea. Thanks for hosting and enjoy the rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThose turkey Nutter Butter cookies are too cute! I’ll be trying those with my youngest granddaughters. Thank you for hosting, Joanne, and enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteAren't they adorable?! I hope your granddaughters enjoy them.
DeleteThe turkey cookies are my favorite. They look absolutely lovely!
ReplyDeleteDon't they? Those look like something I would have put together with my boys when they were younger.
