Share 4 Somethings in November 2025

I know the last Saturday of the month is not until next week but I'm going to take a blogging break starting Wednesday the 26th- Monday December 1st (while Alec and his roommate are here) and I didn't want to miss Share 4 Somethings with Jenn so I'm posting mine early. I do expect to have time to read and hopefully link up but I won't be writing or publishing anything new.

As always we're sharing some things we loved, some things we learned, some things that went well, and some things we let go of

Some things I've loved: Seeing Hadestown with my boys

I loved the date night my husband and I had last weekend; we met friends of his at Foxwoods for dinner and had so much fun (plus the food was incredible too).

the casino was all decked out for Christmas too.

I have loved watching all my Christmas cacti bloom this month.

Some things I've learned: I've been learning a lot about Animal Behavior and re-learning many things about Economics that I had forgotten about. I read through both book trying to keep a chapter ahead of Evan and write up some comprehension questions for him to answer.

Some things that went well: I'm nearly finished making all my holiday cards this month. It's the first year I've made a huge collection of random cards. I typically make them nearly all the same. It's been fun being so creative.

Some things I let go of: 2 MORE bags of clothing and shoes. I have been brutal about culling things out of my closet this fall and winter... and so far I haven't regret having gotten rid of anything.

What an accomplishment with your cards. Wow, wow, wow. And your Christmas cacti is amazing. What a green thumb you have.
Learning new things is truly the best way to help our brains. We've been going to these brain lectures, and that was a big push at the last class.

    1. I love learning new things! I really wish our local community college was free for all and not just first time students because I would absolutely take a class or two "just for fun!"

    1. My sister bought me one and my mother in law was going to get rid of the two she had when she moved and I happily took them in. I honestly thought I'd have killed them by now but they love the lighting in our house and have really thrived.

    1. Aw, thank you. That is so sweet. I have such an obsession with sweaters though that I have to let go of some of the older ones to make room for the new.

  14. I am sure anyone who receives one of your cards cherishes it! I piled a bunch of things into my trunk and had my friends from the museum go through them. It was a win win for us all. Now, I've got all these pencil skirts I need to find a new home for...no one wants those these days!

    1. It was a neat play-- somehow it both incorporated sweat shop conditions of the industrial revolution tied in with Greek mythology and the underworld.

    1. I don't think I had ever really noticed a Christmas cacti before I had one of my own but then my mother in law was moving and getting rid of her two so I adopted those as well. I love them; even if they are pretty boring those other seasons when they're not blooming.
