Share 4 Somethings in November 2025
I know the last Saturday of the month is not until next week but I'm going to take a blogging break starting Wednesday the 26th- Monday December 1st (while Alec and his roommate are here) and I didn't want to miss Share 4 Somethings with Jenn so I'm posting mine early. I do expect to have time to read and hopefully link up but I won't be writing or publishing anything new.
As always we're sharing some things we loved, some things we learned, some things that went well, and some things we let go of.
Some things I've loved: Seeing Hadestown with my boys.
I loved the date night my husband and I had last weekend; we met friends of his at Foxwoods for dinner and had so much fun (plus the food was incredible too).

| the casino was all decked out for Christmas too. |
I have loved watching all my Christmas cacti bloom this month.
Some things I've learned: I've been learning a lot about Animal Behavior and re-learning many things about Economics that I had forgotten about. I read through both book trying to keep a chapter ahead of Evan and write up some comprehension questions for him to answer.
Some things that went well: I'm nearly finished making all my holiday cards this month. It's the first year I've made a huge collection of random cards. I typically make them nearly all the same. It's been fun being so creative.

The cards are all so pretty! As is your Christmas cacti. My plant died this year :(. Your meal out looks really good! Have a great weekend!

Thank you!
DeleteI need to purge too- I have been too slow with it!
ReplyDeleteI'm hopeful I won't regret it later! LOL
DeleteYour plants look amazing! Good job on the card making! So awesome! Great job on the closet clean out! What is it that makes you feel that you have more rather than less when you do that?
ReplyDeleteThank you! For me it's definitely that I can see what I have better. To look at my closet you wouldn't even know I got rid of anything... it was pretty well packed in there.
DeleteI need to be more brutal on getting rid of things!
ReplyDeleteI have been in one of those moods where if I don't absolutely love it I'm getting rid of it.
DeleteWhat a good feeling to get rid of some clothes. I need to do the same thing. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSo many fun things! (This is Kari 💜)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteCleaning things out is such a great feeling. Hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteIt really is!
DeleteWhat an accomplishment with your cards. Wow, wow, wow. And your Christmas cacti is amazing. What a green thumb you have.
ReplyDeleteLearning new things is truly the best way to help our brains. We've been going to these brain lectures, and that was a big push at the last class.
XOXO

I love learning new things! I really wish our local community college was free for all and not just first time students because I would absolutely take a class or two "just for fun!"
DeleteOh my, the restaurant meal looks delicious! Enjoy your time off and happy holidays.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSo exciting when the Christmas cactus blooms! My mom has one and hers hasn't bloomed yet. I would really love to get one for my house!
ReplyDeleteMy sister bought me one and my mother in law was going to get rid of the two she had when she moved and I happily took them in. I honestly thought I'd have killed them by now but they love the lighting in our house and have really thrived.
DeleteEnjoy your break, my friend! Everything looks lovely and festive!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHard to imagine your getting rid of clothes...you always have the cutest things! Would not want to part with them:) I hope you enjoy your break....happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you. That is so sweet. I have such an obsession with sweaters though that I have to let go of some of the older ones to make room for the new.
DeleteI am sure anyone who receives one of your cards cherishes it! I piled a bunch of things into my trunk and had my friends from the museum go through them. It was a win win for us all. Now, I've got all these pencil skirts I need to find a new home for...no one wants those these days!

Aw, thank you so much!
DeleteEnjoy your week off! You make such beautiful and lovely cards!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI never heard of that play before. Your cards are so cute!
ReplyDeleteIt was a neat play-- somehow it both incorporated sweat shop conditions of the industrial revolution tied in with Greek mythology and the underworld.
DeleteSurf and Turf on date night for the win!
ReplyDeleteYes! We heard that was the special and both my husband and I completely changed our mind and went with that. I was so glad I did too. It was delicious!
DeleteThat theatre is absolutely beautiful! And such fun cards you made! I too have donated 2 large bags of clothes/shoes recently. And still working on decluttering. It's good to let things go but also hard to do!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your blogging break and Happy Thanksgiving!
Isn't it gorgeous? I love all the details inside. They don't seem to build building like that anymore.
DeleteHave a wonderful time with Alec and his roommate and a fab Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteHadestown sounds great and what a lovely date with your husband. Your Christmas cacti look fantastic and your cards too.
Thank you!
DeleteHappy upcoming Blogger Break.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteHappy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your time with family and having your boys (and roommate) with you! Sounds wonderful!

DeleteHi Jo - I totally get the blogging break to enjoy time with family - nothing beats that. Your Christmas cards look great and homeschooling certainly keeps your brain active!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHadestown is so good, right! Hope you enjoyed Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteIt was so good!
DeleteThe Christmas cacti are so fun! I don't know if I've ever seen one in person? LOVE your Christmas cards...too perfect! I donated a couple of bags of clothes recently which was so nice...felt like a good thing to get checked off my list.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I had ever really noticed a Christmas cacti before I had one of my own but then my mother in law was moving and getting rid of her two so I adopted those as well. I love them; even if they are pretty boring those other seasons when they're not blooming.
DeleteYour Christmas cards are so pretty! you are very talented. I have also been purging stuff-also with no regrets!! https://encounterswiththedavisfamily.blogspot.com/2025/12/share-four-somethings-november-2025.html
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you! I hardly ever miss anything I end up purging from the house.
