What's Up Wednesday in October 2025
It's the last Wednesday of the month and that means it's time for What's Up Wednesday.
What We're Eating:
Sunday: I made burgers, hot dogs, french fries, and tater tots for the boys since my husband was out fishing. I just had a salad
Monday: Chicken fajita rice bowl with all the fixings
Tuesday: Pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw and salad
Wednesday: Homemade chicken Parmesan with spaghetti, sauce, and salad.
Thursday: Shrimp stir fry over rice noodles
Friday: Whole roasted chicken with potatoes and green beans
What I'm Reminiscing About: I haven't been reminiscing about anything lately.
What I'm Loving: Our weather has been just beautiful this month.
What We've Been Up To: We had a fun month filled with hiking, checking out a cute local bookshop, another college tour, seeing SIX in Providence, going to the immersive Monet exhibit, a delicious date night out at Foxwood's steakhouse,
What I'm Dreading: Nothing at all right now.
What I'm Working On: I've started scrapbooking our Glacier Park trip and I even started a new painting trying to capture the hues of Bowman lake; I'm not quite there yet but I'm close...
What I'm Watching/Reading: Next Gen Chef (Netflix), Benny & Joon (Roku Channel), Bunheads (Hulu), Doc (Netflix), Greenland (HBOMax), I'm rewatching Gilmore Girls (Hulu), We rewatched San Andreas (Netflix), Abbott Elementary (Hulu), Jerry & Marge Go Large (Paramount+), The Woman in Cabin 10 (Netflix), I Like Me; The John Candy Documentary (Prime)-- I loved it! The latest season of The Diplomat (Netflix)-- SO good!, The latest seasons of 9-1-1 (Hulu), 9-1-1 Nashville (Hulu)--though to be honest I'm finding both 9-1-1's too far fetched in their rescue scenarios that I'm rolling my eyes a lot.
What I'm Listening to: I've been listening to lots and lots of audiobooks.
What I'm Wearing: October was such a weird month weather-wise. Our temps fluctuated from the 50's to the 80's from one day to the next. I never knew what to wear!
What I'm Doing This Weekend: We have no plans.

Glad you've had a good weather month and have gotten to enjoy spending time outdoors. Your outfits are all really pretty- I like the tops that show your shoulders and the black flowy sleeve top. You've gone to some fun events. What an exciting time for Evan!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteWhat did you think of the Monet? We were so disappointed by the Van Gogh. It was way overpriced and not very good.
ReplyDeleteWe did spend 2 hours at the Monet exhibit so I didn't feel like the cost was crazy high, but that said, I actually preferred the Van Gogh exhibit.
DeleteLove this time of year too. And all your clothes are super cute! Happy rest of the season of fall to you and Happy Halloween Week
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you so much!
DeleteI am so jealous of the shows you are going too- ha! You are so right about the weather too- my gosh- threw me for a loop!
ReplyDeleteAlec warned me last spring that there were LOTS of great shows we needed to make sure to score tickets to this year and he was right. It's been an amazing line up of shows this year.
DeleteA great month! I keep forgetting to write my what's up posts. Maybe next month ha! Enjoy Hadestown!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe! I try to keep the outline in my drafts folder for the upcoming month and add to it as the month goes on so I don't have to write quite so much all at the end.
DeleteOh, what a relief to have FASFA done! I think I am finally done with those! Enjoy the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteYep! It's nearly as nerve wracking as tax time! LOL
DeleteYour outfits are all cute! I love the variety of pants.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteCute outfits! Your nature shots are beautiful. Love the one with the crane and the reflections on the water. Congratulations on having FAFSA done. I remember those days! Have a great Halloween!
ReplyDeleteThank you; I was kicking myself for not taking my "real" camera hiking with us that day but my phone did a great job capturing the heron and the trees.
DeleteOh that local bookshop is so cute! And I've heard so many great things about The Diplomat. Brian and I may have to start that next!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea we even had a local bookstore but I will definitely be back. I bet you guys would enjoy The Diplomat but each season does end on a cliffhanger.... which I both love and hate.
DeleteI love what you have been eating this week and it sounds like you've had a great month. That bookshop really is cute and how cool to see Six!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Six was a lot of fun.
DeleteIt's hard when the weather changes from day to day, but at least then you get some variety, LOL.

Very true!
DeleteWe've had gorgeous weather, although this week is chilly and rainy. Still feels like fall so I don't mind. We enjoyed the John Candy documentary too. Good luck to your son on the application process! We haven't watched the latest season of The Diplomat yet but I loved the first two, and anything Keri Russell is in. The Americans was one of my favorite shows. Have a nice week!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteGood work on the painting!! I liked The Woman in Cabin 10. I had read the book so I knew what was going on, but I loved seeing Keira Knightly in the role.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I had read the book a few years ago so I only remembered vague bits of the plot but I did enjoy seeing Keira Knightly.
DeleteHadestown - we loved it. Grace really wants to see it, but it has never worked out for her to go. Love your painting. I need to get back to reading Michael Connelly.
ReplyDeleteI love all your photos, as always, and the menu sounds so good. I am excited for scarf season and I see it has already started in your neck of the woods!
ReplyDeleteYour hiking photos are beautiful! I really want to see SIX! Love all of your cute outfits!
