Cards and Scrapbook Pages I Made in June 2025

Image
The only cards I made this month were for Father's day. I think they turned out pretty good and the dads seemed to like them too.   I worked a bit more on our family's scrapbooking pages. I managed to get the Vincent Van Gogh pages finished, Ian's graduation, and the two older boys' birthdays.  This is actually from Ian's birthday in 2024! That page was missing from his scrapbook so I reprinted the photos.  Linking up with:

Share 4 Somethings in June 2025

Since the last Saturday of the month is tomorrow it's just about time for Share 4 Somethings with Jenn. As always we're sharing some things we loved, some things we learned, some things that went well, and some things we let go of .  Some things I've loved:  I LOVED our trip to Maine! Acadia is just so beautiful and we had such perfect weather too.   I've LOVED having my brother and his family so close this month; they moved into the campground near our house this summer and it's fun spotting them randomly on our road. I LOVED getting to spent the afternoon in Newport with Dara (Not in Jersey blog) and her family. They are the sweetest, nicest people!    I LOVED the last minute date night my husband and I planned this past weekend. We got dressed and headed to Foxwoods to try one of their steak houses. We walked around, did a little shopping, and enjoyed a delicious ice cream treat before heading home.   they end the meal with a complimentary cotton candy (...

I saw Tanya mention a chicken pesto sandwich on her blog and thought I'd try to come up with one of my own. I figured it might be something everyone in the family might actually eat.   Ingredients: 1/2 jar of prepared pesto (about 4 ounces) 1/4 cup olive oil 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar 5-6 chicken breasts 5-6 rolls Remaining pesto (though I didn't use it all)  Balsamic glaze  lettuce  1 large tomato; sliced 5-6 slices fresh mozzarella cheese   Directions:  Earlier in the day I mixed together pesto, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil to make a marinade. I put the chicken in the marinade and set it in the fridge for a few hours. Don't worry about getting the measurements perfect; this is a very forgiving "recipe." I heated the grill to 350 and put...
