Talking About it Tuesdays #71
It's official all my boys are done school for the year; Evan had his final exam on Thursday and I shared our homeschooling year in review yesterday. I feel like 11th grade went by so fast (as did Alec's Freshman year of college!). I think this is the earliest we've ever finished up. Most schools up here don't end until mid- June so we have a whole extra month of "summer" vacation. And I am loving it!
I'm also loving watching this party grow! We had so many wonderful posts linked up with us last week. Picking just a few to feature is always the hardest part of hosting. I get so many great ideas from all the things you share so thank you so much.

This party will remain open until the weekend. My hope is that everyone will share all sorts of wonderful posts: travel, recipes, how to's, crafting ideas, and more-- up to 3 posts per blog. Anything that is family friendly is welcome; even old posts that you'd like to get some new views.
Linking up with:
Yah for being done with school and for having an extra long summer break! Our district goes a couple of days past Memorial Day which seems odd (just call it quits by Memorial Day is what makes sense to most people...). Thanks for the link up- have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYeah our school systems often start 1 or 2 days before Labor day and it always seems so odd to me on that end of things too.
DeleteCongrats on being done with school and what a bonus to finish up early! My youngest still has another month at college and the schools here don't finish until the end of July.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm intrigued by that end of July date... do your schools have air conditioning or does it just not get that hot there? Our schools systems have toyed with going year round a time or two but aren't equipped to handle the heat (at least that is the main argument brought up against year round schooling).
DeleteThat's great your party keeps growing!
ReplyDeleteI love it!
DeleteThe address or even info labels for hand out chocolates is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI just love the idea that you can personalize them with anything you want! They'd make cute wedding or party favors too.
DeleteWOW! Done with school before Memorial Day! That's the dream!
ReplyDeleteRight?! I'm not sure we've managed that too often; I usually shoot for the first week of June.
DeleteHappy Tuesday Joanne! Thanks bunches for hosting and warm hospitality each week. I'm sitting at #33,34,35&36 this week.

I am so glad you joined us!
DeleteKick off to summer!!!! Love you get to do it earlier!!!
ReplyDeleteMe too... now if only our weather would get the memo! It's been a REAL cold week here this week.
DeleteHooray for summer!! Congrats on another year done!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI'm glad y'all are done with school for the year! Our public schools get out this Friday!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great feeling; though not nearly the same relief as I used to feel when there were more students and more effort/work needed from me. This year was pretty easy all around.
DeleteJoanne,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by!!
My Link Ups for today's party are # 39, 40 and 41!!
Thanks so much for hosting this charming party!!! I truly do appreciate it as I do know the time involved with it....I hope you and your family are well and enjoying your week!

Thank you so much!
DeleteThe school year as gone really fast. We have two weeks to go. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope you have a wonderful week as well.
DeleteSchool is out tomorrow but not sure which kids will go since it is half day. My oldest started a part time job today that hopefully will become full time (for the summer). Looking forward to lazy mornings, some pool time and some picnics (and our vacation next week).

I'm trying to entice my youngest into finding a job but Alec is working 5 days a week most weeks but I can't wait for sunny days in the sun by the lake. It should be a full summer filled with all sorts of family as we have a lot of my family members moving nearby for the entire summer.
DeleteThanks Joanne for hosting Talking About it Tues. #71. Bet the kids are excited for the school vacation too. My shares are 56, 57, and 58. Enjoy free time and the summer season.
ReplyDeleteOh definitely! Though I think my middle son would have happily stayed on campus if he could have.
DeleteHow wonderful to be on Summer Break already! Congrats on a successful school year for you all! Thanks, as always, for another lovely party!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteEnjoy the longer summer vacation!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteHow wonderful to have almost a whole extra month to enjoy summer, Joanne. Thank you so much for the party and have a great week.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteIt must feel great to be on summer break already!! I hope you're off to a great Memorial Day Weekend!
