Talking About it Tuesday #70
We finally had a fairly normal week last week so I managed to visit everyone that linked up at last week's party. We actually had a pretty rainy week so I had lots of extra time at home. It was much needed though and I felt like I got a lot of things done. I hope that all the mom's out there had a lovely Mother's day weekend (if you live in the US!) and that those who find the holiday tough found it just a bit easier this year.
The post with the most views from last week's party:
Creating a Spring- Inspired Tablescape by Thrifting Wonderland
A few that caught my eye:
Carmel and The Big Sur Marathon by Elevated Nesting
How to Make Superb Vegan Chickpea Salad by Colors 4 Health
How to Make Sea Glass Bottles for a Coastal Tablescape by Bluesky at Home
This party will remain open until the weekend. My hope is that everyone will share all sorts of wonderful posts: travel, recipes, how to's, crafting ideas, and more-- up to 3 posts per blog. Anything that is family friendly is welcome; even old posts that you'd like to get some new views.

I don't dislike rainy days (unless I wanted to do something fun outdoors.... and when they happen days on end!) generally. Our area looks like Ireland right now with everything vibrantly green due to rain so I can't complain about it too much!! I'm glad you got a lot done inside. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI was hoping to tackle the gardens and get the patio furniture out but I don't really like either of those chores so I was happy the weather derailed those plans.
DeleteThe desert needs rain horribly bad! I know that we live in the desert, but the cacti still need a good drink. Plus, when it is too dry, that can bring fires.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you got a lot of inside work done. Hopefully this coming week will bring less rain for you.
Thank you for hosting the Linky Party. It’s always fun to join.
Yeah, I get real worried about wildfires when it gets too dry.
DeleteI'm glad things have calmed dow a little for you. I hope you had a lovely Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I did!
DeleteThank you for the party. We had a wonderful Mother's Day. I love rainy days in summer because then I have a day to catch up on my indoor activities!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! I enjoyed having and "excuse" to focus on the indoor things.
DeleteHere in Florida, we finally got rain after being in a drought. It rained some Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The world here smiled.
ReplyDeleteYAY! I know you were really needing that.
DeleteLove the color scheme of that tablescape!
ReplyDeleteHope your Mother's Day had just the right mix of chaos and calm!
Isn't that so pretty?!
DeleteHappy Belated Mother's Day! I'm looking forward to clicking through some of these links!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteWe have been enjoying rain all week as well and everything looks lush and green. My garden certainly loves the rain. Thanks so much for hosting every week. It's such fun to visit and explore all different blogs. thanks so much for the feature for the spring tablescape. I love setting a table with things I've found at the thrift store. Have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteLynne, Thrifting Wonderland
Yes, I feel like everything just exploded into green overnight! I am loving how lush everything looks.

Thank you so much for joining us!
DeleteI especially love rainy days now that I'm retired! They are often a lovely invitation to slow down a bit. We had a quiet Mother's Day after going non stop for quite awhile. Thanks for hosting us all each Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteThey sure are and I love that they're guilt-free invitations to slow down too.
DeleteInstantly clicked on the chickpea sandwich link.... I need the little trick on that!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't that sound so good? I like chick peas but rarely feel like I know what to do with them.
DeleteLots of rain here: kind of put a wrench in some of our plans: we did get the yard mowed but now need the back of our yard weed wacked, a job for my oldest.

Oh I hate when rain interferes with plans.. we had a couple soggy runs through the rain but no real hardships from the rain.
DeleteThanks for hosting! I hope you enjoyed your Mother's Day--I had all my kids home, which was so fun!
ReplyDeleteYay! That is fun!
Deletea lovely late afternoon visit on this beautiful Monday ...

DeleteI like rainy weeks at home too.. and I'm with you, I feel like I need them when they come! It helps me to rejuvenate! I think that's at the heart of us homemakers! Thanks for hosting, I love this linky party! :)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear that!
DeleteI'm finding a little more time to read blog posts, comment, and write them too this week. So far anyhow!
ReplyDeleteIt does get trickier as our weather gets nicer and I spent far less time at home/inside.
DeleteGood that you did not have to many stress last week. Greetings from Amsterdam
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteWe seem to never get enough rain, especially in the summer, so I’m always thankful we have some. Thank you for the party, Joanne, and have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWe've had a lot more rain today; the past few years we've had real rainy springs but since we get far less snowfall in winter it is needed.
DeleteHope you had a happy Mother's day! Thanks for the linkup!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you! I hope you had a lovely Mother's day too.
