Ageless style in Black and White

It's the third Thursday of the month and time for another ageless style challenge. This month Marsha picked black and white for our challenge. I often pair black and white together as I like this classic combination a lot.

 

I hardly ever wear my white blazer but I thought this would be the perfect time. I paired it with a very casual black shirt, my jeans, and some booties.

    I don't wear my blazers enough either! I love this white color!! And white goes with so much in the Spring! I love dressing up jeans!

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? I can remember planning sleepovers and time with friends around TV Show lineups of our favorite shows... or else trying to set the VCR to record our favorite shows if we weren't going to be home. Louisville, Kentuckey Girls' Trip days 3 & 4

 Sunday morning we had a later start to our day, deciding to meet Amy at Biscuit Belly at 10:30. I ordered sweet tea, a fruit/yogurt/granola bowl, and some Bonuts (donuts made from biscuit dough) that came with bourbon cream cheese frosting.   From there we took two cars to head out shopping; stopping at 2 different stores.  After shopping we stopped at BoomBozz to get some appetizers to share then Amy headed home while the rest of us piled into Maria's car and headed out sightseeing in downtown Louisville. We stopped by a park to look at all the bridges. Then headed to the Louisville Slugger Museum to see the giant bat.   From there we headed back to the rental and hung out until it was time for Tanya to go to the airport. Maria and I drove her while Amy hung out back at the house with Marilyn and Jenn. Share Our Lives: Celebrating My Birthday

This month for Share Our lives we're talking about how we celebrate/spend our birthdays! I typically have a couple of different ways that I celebrate my birthday each year.   My mom and I spend the day (either on or near my actual birthday) shopping and we go out to lunch. It's such a fun day. She always takes my gifts home to wrap and then comes back later usually with some cheesecake or something. It works out well that my birthday falls in the middle of summer since she'll be up here camping each summer plus we hit some really wonderful sales each year.    last year's haul July 2020 we had a small party on our patio My favorite birthday tradition is a new one that my husband and I just started several years ago; we now take little day or weekend trips to celebrate our birthdays.  It has been so fun exploring new little towns and areas! Things That Make Me Laugh

I loved the challenge of this week's list for our 26 lists link up.  I don't know about you but I really need to laugh more lately.  It's such a great stress reliever. 1.  Books-- I love a good funny book that makes me laugh out loud.  I haven't read one in a while but if you have any recommendations I'm all ears.  The last book I can remember making me laugh was the Un-Honeymooners. 2  The boys being silly. 3.  Watching shows like America's Funniest Videos or Family Feud. 4. My husband.  Most people don't realize it but he's actually pretty funny and often makes me laugh. 5.  Whenever my sisters/ family get together and we get to reminiscing (particularly if my Aunt Elaine is around) we end up laughing so hard at all the old family stories that we are all in tears by the end of the night.  It's fabulous. 6. Mother's Day Weekend Recap

 With my Share Our Lives post on Monday and Talking About it Tuesday on Tuesday, today is my first chance to share about my weekend. It ended up being a pretty great weekend.  Our Mother's day celebrations started early with us taking both our moms (and my step father) to dinner on Friday night. Friday afternoon Evan took my cell phone and worked on making a few updates, getting some old apps that weren't working going, and organizing the layout of everything for me as his mother's day gift (since he has no job). We made reservations at one of our favorite restaurants Bella's. It's a lovely little Italian restaurant where they make their food fresh and the owner is there to greet everyone and comes to check in with the different tables and make sure everything is delicious.
