Let's Look At.. Where I Shop for My Mom

It's been a long time since I joined in with Shay and Erica for an edition of Let's Look but I was stumped for something to write on this second Wednesday of the month and I am firmly in my Christmas shopping mode so I thought this would be the perfect post!

I know so many people who think their moms are hard to shop for but I honestly think my mom is so incredibly easy!  She's the type of person who happily spends money on gifts for others but is incredibly frugal when it comes to buying anything for herself.  I love to spoil her with gifts.

Some of my favorite places to shop for my mom include:

1. Vera Bradley-- I know that if I find something in beautiful shades of blue that my mom will love it!

2.  Hallmark store-- we have a local store that has such beautiful jewelry and wraps. In fact, I bought her a necklace and earring set for Mother's Day and she wore that set almost every single day.

3.  My mom enjoys reading and we have a pretty similar taste in books so I'll often buy her gifts from Barnes and Noble.

4. My mom is petite and so I'll buy her sweaters and tops from the petites section at stores like Kohl's, Dress Barn (though I so miss the local store we used to have!), and JC Penney.

5. Amazon!  I have bought everything from jewelry to household appliances for my mom on Amazon.

6. Victoria Emerson-- I have bought my mom a few of their wrap bracelets and accessories.

7. Shutterfly-- Through the years we have gifted (all the gradparents!) personalized photo things through Shutterfly: Calendars, photo books, mugs, etc.

8. Sometimes I make my own gifts for my mom. I'm pretty crafty and love using my Cricut or my hands to maker something totally personal.... like this mom plaque or some pretty ornaments.

  7. Those homemade gifts are absolutely beautiful! Love the roses in the frame! I lost my mom many years ago in my early teens so I am not sure if it would be easy to shop for her or not, but me as a mom, I KNOW I am hard to shop for LOL. That said something homemade would make my day!

    1. Aw, thank you! I think I'm easy to shop for but I can be difficult since my boys and husband just want an answer and I always have so many ideas that I just can not narrow down my list. LOL.

  8. I have to admit that when you make something with your own hands, it seems all that more special.

  12. Shutterfly is so great for personalized gifts. I just went into our Hallmark store recently (and hadn't been in forever), and they had so many cute things. I need to go back there for Christmas shopping.
