Encouraging Hearts and Home: Handmade Christmas Cards

I know!! It's only the first few days in November and it's so early to be thinking Christmas... but if you make your Christmas cards (like I do!) this is the time to start planning.  I typically make around 50 cards and my goal each year is to have them done, in the envelopes, and addressed by Thanksgiving so I can pop them in the mail that Monday right after.  We had a few really great handmade Christmas cards linked up with us last week so that's what I'm focusing on today!

And Now, It's Time for This Week's Encouraging Hearts & Home Blog Hop!

Join your Encouraging Hearts & Home Co-Hosts each week for encouragement and support for your heart & your home. We hope to provide a space that builds each other up and lends a helping hand along the way. With all the negativity in the world, let's shine a positive light!

  1. Joanne, I love that you hand make all of those Christmas cards! I stopped sending Christmas cards years ago because I just got too lazy so I really admire your dedication to making each card! I look forward to seeing some of them if you share them on your blog!

    1. I'll definitely share them; sometime after Thanksgiving I usually have a post showcasing my cards. I typically make 4 or 5 styles and just make 10 of them each. I think of them as little gifts for family members we would never really buy for.

  8. I feel like it's never too early for Christmas. It takes a lot of energy, time and preparation so the earlier the better. Love the idea of making all my holiday cards. It's been about 10 years since I did anything like that... so much fun though!

    1. Yes, I like to start early too so I have plenty of time to make crafts and cards, and bake all the fun treats, without feeling totally rushed and stressed.

    1. That is so neat! I tried to get the rest of my family into card making but only my mother in law really got into it with me.
