Fall Bucket List 2021

I figured it was time to share our fall bucket list since it really is starting to feel like fall here.  The temperatures are cooler and I've even noticed some of the leaves starting to turn yellow already.   Here are a few of the things I've been thinking I'd like to do before the winter weather and snow sets in.

Read some cozy fall themed books

Make pumpkin scones

Hike either Mt. Monadnock or Mt. Greylock (or both!)

Go apple picking

Celebrate Evan's birthday

Go hiking as much as possible

Take the boys' yearly photos

Bake up some apple pies

Make candy/caramel apples again

Plan a weekend getaway for my husband and I

Decorate the house for fall

Pull out some new puzzles

Keep a gratitude list for November

Make chili & cornbread

Drink apple cider

Buy some mums and decorate the front porch

    1. I do love living where we have 4 seasons; though I wouldn't mind if winter was shorter.

  4. We're not having one day the same here. It felt like Autumn yesterday and today it feels like summer again.
What a great list. Pumpkin scones. I have never tried them, I think I need to and I am looking forward to get some apples from my dad's trees so I can make some pies. x

  10. What a lovely way to look ahead. I've never made cornbread, it's not a New Zealand "thing" to eat, but always wanted to.

  13. Your fall plans sound lovely, Joanne. This year I decided to build my fall bucket list based off ideas I found on other bloggers' lists. You post inspired me to add "finish my jigsaw puzzle" and "take a week off work and spend it in Southern Utah with my husband." Thanks and happy fall!

  14. I like the idea of reading fall themed books during the season. Great activity. Maybe working a fall puzzle, too. My BFF gave us a really cute Texas puzzle for all of us to work on the family trip we took to the beach. But we didn't get to it. I think I will break it out now.

Come make your chili for my recipe swap and blog hop!! Would love to have you join me.

I saw the cutest arrangement of potted mums with tiny pumpkins inside the pot around the base of the flowers. It was so cute. If I thought I wouldn't kill the mums, I would buy some and do that myself.

  15. Great list. I'm making chili and cornbread next week while we're on vacation. I love puzzles and hope to start one while on vacation...I just purchased mums at Costco a week or so ago. They always have such a great deal.
