My Daily Must Haves

This month's Not Just a Mom link up is all about our Daily Must Haves.  I had to think long and hard about this one...most of what I thought of involved food!  I finally decided to focus mainly on what I use every day in summer.

In all honesty my husband and I find fresh cut fruit to be a daily must have; when we run out we head to the store.  My day just does not feel complete anymore unless I start it with a big bowl of fresh fruit, plain non-fat Greek yogurt and some granola.

My Yeti goes everywhere with me. It's a great way to make sure I'm drinking lots of water and it's always nice and cold.  On those days I need a boost I add a packet of Crystal Light Peach Mango Green tea and I'm good to go!

Once I wet my hair down I have to use some styling mousse to keep my curls from frizzing. My favorite is the Aussie volumizing brand.

My cell phone has become a must have as well; with my Weight Watchers app installed and all the quick photos I snap with it, I do find myself feeling rather lost without it.

My flip flops and sunglasses; even on rainy days I often am found using both.  My family jokes that if it's not snowing or we're not hiking I'm probably wearing flip flops of some sort and they're not totally wrong.  My eyes are very sensitive to light so I often need sunglasses when others don't.

Even with pants and long sleeves I prefer my flip flops!

A good book!  I almost have a good book at hand (or tucked in my purse) and read at all times of the day.

Jewelry!  I don't feel like I'm fully dressed until I've picked out something sparkly to go with my outfit of the day.

Gum; I am almost always snacking on gum between meals. I prefer Trident Cinnamon and buy a case of it at Bj's each time we go.

I know I'm a bit odd in that I don't drink coffee, use make up, or even sunscreen most days so my daily must have list is pretty short.  I don't even really style my hair after I put mouse in it I just tuck it behind my ears and let it dry on it's own.  I'm a very low muss, low fuss kind of gal.

What are some of your must have's?!

I hope you join us next month when we talk about our morning routines.

  4. These are great must haves! I too feel the need to eat fresh fruit daily. For me it's also my sodastream (I love plain carbonated water), currently also coffee daily (although some months I switch to drink green tea instead of coffee), my laptop computer and my kindle app & Ipad since I started reading novels again.

  7. I am on a bit of a health kick at the moment and I am loving fresh fruit. I can't get enough.
My phone is a must for me and sunglasses at the moment. Even with all the rain we've had it has still been quite bright. x

    1. Yes, I eat so much fruit each day; that and fresh veggies make up at least 75% of my diet.

  8. I definitely relate to flip flops and sunglasses, Joanne. I'm pretty no-fuss, too. I eat pretty much the same breakfast everyday, with berries, crustless quiche and toast with jam, and a pot of tea.

    1. Yes, my cell phone does match my Yeti and I know I have at least a few other things that are the same shade too; my family has started joking that it's my new "color."

  15. Joanne, this was fun to read your must haves! Your fruit breakfast bowl looks amazing! I usually end up throwing the fruit and yogurt into the blender with some almond milk and soy protein powder. But I should switch it up some and make these yogurt and granola bowls, too. Yum!
