Weigh- In Wednesday-- 4 Month Check In

I haven't forgotten about my Weigh- In Wednesdays but did decide to cut back my updates to once a month instead of every other week.

I was finding I didn't have much to say since I am doing so well on this weight loss journey!  I honestly thought I would struggle with my weight loss so much more than I have and I am so grateful to have found a program that works.... I just hope I can keep it up and keep the weight off.

Not that there haven't been bumps in the road!

In fact of  all the  months I've been following Weight Watchers July has probably been one of the hardest.  Between the 4th of July parties, my birthday, three other birthday parties, and a trip away from home it's been hard to stick to a healthy eating plan.  Add in the heat and humidity and I am completely unmotivated to work out too.

But as of writing this post (this past Friday) somehow I have managed to keep losing weight (another 5 lbs. this month!) even with all the cake, ice cream, and junk I've been eating.  I am now just 20 lbs. away from my goal!  I have dropped 2+ clothing sizes and I feel great!

I never thought I'd wear skinny jeans but I just LOVE these new ones my mom got my for my birthday; they are so darn comfortable and I really do feel "skinny" in them.

I have been religious about keeping up with logging my points and am more than willing to eat zero point foods to make way for sweet treats.  Balancing out those days with healthy eating has worked wonders for me and I know that a splurge here and there is just that a splurge.  I make sure to get right back to eating "right."

Like this pizza I shared last week that is only 7 points.

I made some 2- ingredient  bagels and with just a touch of light cream cheese my breakfast was only 4 points.

I've been eating lots of salads with fruit and my favorite skinny girl dressing for just 2-3 points each. They make for very filling lunches (you can read about the variety and points of ALL the salads I've been eating lately in this post).

Most weeks I am still within my blue dot range for at least 6 of the days and almost always ended my weeks with weekly points left.

Are you on any sort of weight loss plan/ lifestyle change?  How's it going for you?  I'd love to hear all about it.

  3. Gosh, that's so fabulous!! It certainly not only good for our self esteem, but our bodies are happier with better foods!! I've been terrible with our upcoming move about eating well. But I'm trying to give myself grace during this crazy time. Then I'll be back to normal.

    1. Yes, I am finding my body feels so much better with this healthier fuel. Even with weekends like this past one where I ate lots of fried and fatty foods I could not wait to get back home and eat my fruits and veggies.

  5. Those skinny jeans look great on you!! I think summer and the Christmas holidays are the two toughest times for our eating habits. There are just so many outings involving "fun food" that it's hard to stay on track.

    1. Thank you! I love how comfortable they are. I figure as long as I don't gain weight I'm OK. I can't always lose but I definitely want to maintain.

  6. You look amazing! And that pizza is off the chain, I'm heading that post next. I love these kinds of posts, and seeing your progress, it's so inspiring.

One of my favorite parts of Weight Watchers is that you can still enjoy all of the foods you've always loved. You can celebrate with birthday cake, and you can have pizza, you just have to make good choices, and track everything. It's honestly the only program that works for me.

    1. Yes! I love that too. SO many plans require you to cut sugar or whole food groups out completely and I always think I could never do that long term. I think I can do this long term! It's really teaching me about choices and when I want to splurge I do.
