Bling on the Crafts- Summer Wreath

On the first Wednesday of each month, a group of DIY and crafty bloggers join forces to bring you the #BlingontheCrafts blog hop. Each blogger creates a glittery, sparkly, shiny, shimmery, sequined, or “blingy” craft to share that goes with a monthly theme.

May's theme is Summer. Each blogger chooses their own craft to make as long as it shines and is Summer themed.

If you’d like to participate next month, you can request to join our Bling on the Crafts Facebook group. Next month's theme is Red, White and Blue

My summer craft is a floral wreath for my front door.

It was such a fun and easy project!

I found this beautiful glitter infused ribbon at the craft store and knew it would work perfectly with the pale pink and orange flowers I had set aside at home.

I also purchased a few more smaller floral stems and this fun sparkly beaded filler.

I had this beautiful hydrangea stem I wanted to use.

I began by cutting all the flowers off the stems and making my giant bow.  I began laying things around the wreath until I had an arrangement I liked.

I used some chenille stems to add a few tufts of ribbon.  I just cut small strips of ribbon, folded it in half and twisted chenille stems around the base.

I began gluing everything onto the wreath using a hot glue gun.

I just love how it looks on the door with the pale colors against the dark blue.

The ribbon and beads sparkle in the sun and add a nice texture to offset all the flowers.
