45 MORE movie Night Ideas

Looking for family movie ideas?

It sure seems like we're always looking for fun movies that we can all enjoy for our family movie nights.

We used to host family movie night once a month but it was becoming difficult to find movies that we could all enjoy together.

My middle school son would rather not watch anything with cartoons if it can be avoided but many live action movies have a lot of swearing, nudity or deal with topics I'd rather not expose my two younger ones to.

I've already compiled one list of family movies we do enjoy together and thought I'd put together a second list.
Around the World in 80 Days (Widescreen Edition)
E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial Anniversary Edition
The Sorcerer's Apprentice
Alvin Chipmunks 1-3 Tf Dvd
Star Wars Trilogy Episodes IV-VI (Blu-ray + DVD)
Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory
King Ralph

  1. Some fun movies listed there! Visiting from #LiteracyMusingMondays

  2. Family movie time is the BEST time!! Some of our favorites on this list and you gave me some ideas for movies to take on our family vacation coming up ;-)

  3. Thanks for sharing with us at #MMBH! We had a Harry Potter marathon over a few weekends. :) Now that the kids are finally out of school I look forward to some more movie nights with them. :)

    1. My youngest son and I have been watching the Deathly Hallows part 1 this week; we've watched them so many times we practically know them by heart but he asks every night if I'll watch some more with him. I try to say yes as often as I can.

  4. Great ideas that kids love! Thanks for sharing them at Together on Tuesdays!

  5. Movie night is always a favorite at our house (if there's no homework - someone is asking for movie night). Current favorites for us are Back to the Future Movies, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Air Bud. Thanks for sharing at Mom-to-Mom Mondays.

    1. Yes! Back to the Future is a huge hit here as are all the Air Bud, Air... whatever movies. I think we've watched them a few times each.

  6. I can't believe I've never shown my kids E.T. Thanks for reminding me and all our readers at the #LMMLinkup.

    1. That is such a classic. I'm pretty sure I only remembered though because it was my younger sister's favorite movie and we watched it A LOT growing up.

  7. Thank you! This is a constant struggle for us too. We watch movies constantly since the pandemic started. We are currently binge watching the Dog Whisperer.
