October's 10 on the 10th... on the 9th; This or That Edition

For this month's 10 on the 10th Marsha came up with a bunch of fun This or That Fall themed questions. I love these Q&A type posts so I just could not resist joining in.

1. Pumpkin spiced Latte or Apple Cider? Apple cider; I don't drink any sort of coffee or latte ever. But the cider must be freshly made from a local orchard.

2. Lots of layers or one big bulky one? I actually prefer one big bulky one. Typically a pair of jeans or fleece lined leggings with a nice thick knit sweater like these from LL Bean.

3.  Harvest festival or craft fair? Both are fun but I'd probably pick a craft fair if given the choice. I love handmade items... even if I rarely buy anything.

4. Football games or movie nights? Movie nights for sure! I haven't seen a football game since I was in high school and even then I went to socialize not really to watch. I have a list of fall movies I enjoy watching here.

5. Fuzzy socks or fuzzy slippers? I have both but tend to wear the fuzzy socks more often than the fuzzy slippers.

6. Orange pumpkins or white pumpkins? I tend to use a bit of both decorating the house but I do think the orange pumpkins feel more fall like so I'll go with orange.

7. Jeans or leggings? I easily swap between both and love jeggings that combine both jeans with leggins but if I had to pick just one I'd say leggings.

8. Horror movie or Halloween baking championship? Oh never anything horror or scary so definitely the baking championship.

9. Thunderstorm or crisp, chilly day? Crisp, chilly day for sure. Thunderstorms have me braced for power outages as we rarely get one without the other. Besides my favorite days are those clear blue sky ones where the tree colors really pop.. even if I need an extra layer to go out walking/hiking.

10. Kettle corn or candy corn? I'm not really a fan of either but I'd eat kettle corn over candy corn. One of my favorite fall treats is a caramel/chocolate apple.

  1. Fun! I agree with you on many of these. And thanks for the movie graphic. I took a picture of it and will check out some of the movies that I'd not heard of.

  2. We picked the same a lot this time!
Now I want one of those apples. I didn't have them since I was a child, at the fair on occasion of our "Maientag", a local fest.

    1. Yeah, they are getting harder to find around here too. The ones pictured above I actually made with my boys.

  3. I find the big old apple too hard to eat so I have seen "nachos" with apple slices and toppings and that appeals more to me.

    1. I always slice my apples into wedges with a sharp knife; they are much easier to eat that way.

  4. I live in jeans this time of year so would definitely pick that as my answer. That apple looks good but I'm sure I'd be wearing it before it was all over. Have a great weekend Joanne! I hope you get those clear blue skies. We are in for rain or so they say. We'll see.

  6. Such a fun little Q&A, Joanne! I'm with you on cosy jumpers, movie nights and craft fairs, but I'd definitely be choosing horror movies over the baking championship. Hope you have a lovely weekend!

    1. Oh no; nothing scary or gory... I just can't sleep after that and have nightmares for days.

  7. Movies! At home or the cinema!
Have a wonderful weekend. Greetings by Heidrun

    1. Either at home or at the cinema works for me. Though if given the choice I usually pick home since I can wear comfy pj's and snuggle up with a nice blanket too.

    1. Yes, some of them were really hard choices.

  10. I agree with you on the horror movies, I can't even stand all the horror ads on tv right now. They shouldn't be allowed on tv especially if you're watching a family movie or tv show and then some horror ad pops up. It's terrible.

  11. These are fun observations. I tend to use both orange and white and nope on horror movies! Bring on the kettle corn! And, those entertaining fall movies with a glass of cider!

  12. I think we are pretty similar! It was fun to realize that!

  13. I agree with many of these, although I do drink coffee but don't like any type of flavoured coffee and the only pumpkin spiced thing I like is pumpkin pie :)
Love hiking on a crisp chilly autumn day! And how delicious are those caramel apples!!

  14. This is cute! Most of these would be a tough decision to choose but horror movies are a "no" for me and while I love good coffee, fresh apple cider at this time of year is next level. Love your movie picks! Thanks for these.

  15. I'm with you, I don't do scary!! I like suspense, but not terror, that keeps me up at night!

    1. I don't mind suspense either but I don't do scary.

  16. We just bought some apple cider and are having it every morning with breakfast...it's probably not as good as where you live....fresh off the trees, but it's all we can get.
As for the last question....you might be surprised to know that I'm a candy corn freak. Granted, I try not to eat it now, but I've been known to grab a few when we are at someone's house.
    XOXO

  17. Fun! So many of these are my favorites, too. Apple cider for sure! Not a coffee or even a tea drinker, so apple cider (or hot chocolate) is my go-to. Love bulky sweaters. But I admit I'm a thunderstorm girl. We don't get tons of power outages where I live, so I can just enjoy the storms without worrying (for the most part). Visiting from the You Name It link party.
