Talking About it Tuesday #137
We got to see Alec for just under 24 hours this weekend and I managed get Evan to hike with us yesterday; seems like both boys have had a good start to their school year. We had a pretty cool and rainy labor day weekend but managed to get some household projects done-- like over-seeding the lawn and squeezing in a food stock up at Bj's. Other than that it's been pretty quiet.
We had another very lovely link up last week. I'm enjoying seeing the change of seasons reflected on everyone's blog; whether that be from summer to fall or winter to spring depending on where you live. I can't wait to see what you'll share with us this week.

That's great that you got to see your boys over the long weekend. Glad their school years are starting off well. Cool and rainy? I hope this isn't the start of cooler weather for you guys! Thanks for the link up!
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely and so unexpected to get to see them both.
DeleteI love that you got to see a couple of your sons over the weekend! I'm sure it's strangely quiet without them in the house. Thanks for hosting us each week!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I haven't noticed a huge change... other than when I'm looking for someone to go hiking with me.

DeleteWe had good weather for Labor Day weekend but we just stayed home and worked on our yard..ha ha...I know, just the opposite on what one should do on "Labor" day. But we did just return home from a vacation and we have a couple of 4 day weekend getaways planned plus another vacation so we needed the time at home. Thanks for the party.
ReplyDeleteWe did lots of yard work over labor day weekend too.
DeleteThank you for the fun Tuesday link up each week. I always feel a little shocked when I see my post gets views! Lol!

ReplyDeleteRight?! Doesn't that look amazing?
DeleteYes, the season is changing and I am seeing it around the edges of the trees. I plan to hang onto summer as long as I can!

DeleteMichael came home to celebrate his birthday with some friends and they had a great time! We did too despite my mom feeling very poorly. I was thankful that it did not put a damper on the celebration. It feels amazing on my porch this morning... a little taste of fall.

Aw, sorry to hear your mom isn't feeling well. I've already been warned that Evan is not coming home for his birthday this month.
DeleteI'm so glad things are going well for both the boys at school. Glad you got a visit!
ReplyDeleteThank you!

You're welcome!
DeleteI'm glad you were able to spend time with the two college boys and get some chores done over Labor Day. The cooler night time temperatures here have been so nice --we can open windows ands turn off air conditioning! The leaves are beginning to change on the aspens at higher elevation -- fall is on its way!
ReplyDeleteYep, we're seeing trees starting to change colors already too.
DeleteThe college years have descended! All visits will be a great opportunity to get caught up with all that has happened since seeing each other the last time. And of course they will go fast! Enjoy this coming week, and thanks so much for hosting.
ReplyDeleteThey sure have!

DeleteIt's great that you are able to see the boys for the weekend! Being close has its benefits...and Bora Bora? Yes please , especially with fall and winter on the horizon in our chilly neck of the woods!
ReplyDeleteYep, being close definitely has its benefits.

Deleteweekends can be so busy - but lovely to have time for family and friends. We spent the weekend with friends travelling from the other side of Australia. So wonderful. Have a great week, and thankyou again for the linkup.
ReplyDeleteOh that does sound wonderful.
DeleteBeing with my whole family at the same time and place is my most favorite. Doesn't happen a lot. So when it does, I try to soak in all the happiness I can!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the party!
Yeah, we definitely didn't have all the family in one place at the same time but I'll take staggered time with each of them too.
DeleteDear Joanne warm greetings from our travel to Greece
ReplyDeleteVioletta
Oh, that sounds wonderful. I've heard great things about Greece!
DeleteCheers for the Shout Out! I thought 'I've taken a photo just like that...I guess they all look the same from there' and then I realised. Ha!~
