How I Did on My Summer Bucket List & My Fall Bucket List
With the first official day of fall Tuesday September 22nd I thought this would be the perfect time to look back at my summer bucket list and see how I did as well as share my fall bucket list. Once again, it's a link party with the quarterly bucket list bloggers. I'll keep the link party open until next Friday so please join us anytime. Any posts related to bucket lists & goals is welcome!
Let's see how I did with my summer list:
1. See Alec off to Greece!-- check!
2. Celebrate my birthday--Check! I feel like I spent over a week celebrating!
3. Celebrate 4th of July--check!
4. Go kayaking- Check!
5. Draw SOMETHING with pen/ink set--check!
6. Scrapbook all or part of Asheville, Utah, & Acadia trips--check! (Part of it anyway)
7. Paint some new acrylic paintings--check!
8. Play some cornhole-- Nope!
9. Get BOTH boys settled at college-- check!
10. Pick berries/make jam-- check!
11. Paint a few more watercolor paintings-- Check!
12. Eat lots and lots of meals outside--check!
My Fall List:
1. Decorate the house for fall
2. Take my "real" camera out once a week for some type of photo shoot.
3. Enjoy our night out seeing Steve Martin & Martin Short
4. Do something fun and unexpected for Ben's birthday
5. Celebrate Evan's 19th birthday
6. Attend parents' weekend at both boys' colleges
7. Hike Wachusette or Mt. Monadnock again.
8. Go apple picking and bake up some apple treats
9. Enjoy some fires in the fireplace
10. Host Thanksgiving
11. Decorate for Christmas
12. Participate in a fall photography challenge/scavenger hunt
13. Put together a puzzle or two
14. Send a care package or two to the boys
15. Try out some new fall recipes
A very nice list! Your creative juices have been flowing- your paintings are beautiful and your scrapbook pages are decorated so creatively. You got most things accomplished from your fall list for sure!

DeleteIt's not too late, you can still get the cornhole in, you have a few more days, LOL! You did great on your bucket list. I love that on your fall list you say to take the "real" camera out. That is a great goal. I love seeing your artwork as well, you are talented.

DeleteHigh five, girl friend!! You did a great job on your summer list. Your photos are always so so good. I especially like the one from your kayak. Those lily pads!! We just don't see lily pads here in the desert. Heck, we don't see water.
ReplyDeleteHope you will frame some of your art. The purple flowered stem or branch is my favorite. Love that watercolor paper, too. Did you make it? Was it hard to paint on that texture? Always impressed with your scrapbooking. I like the colors you put together - that terra cotta and blue are so pretty.
Well done getting the boys settled. And making plans for Parents Day in the fall. Happy to read your fall list before I create mine. I need some fresh ideas. I like the apple-picking/apple treats idea.

Aw, thank you! I took a large watercolor pad and folded/cut the paper for use. I always soak my watercolor paper in water then tape it to a board and let it dry before painting so it doesn't buckle or move as it gets wet. I haven't found anyone hosting a fall photo challenge but I have been keeping my eye out for one. If need be I can create my own but then I tend to pick "easier" challenge ideas so it's not so challenging that way. Good luck with your bucket list! I can't wait to read it.

ReplyDeleteYour bucket lists are always creative, but I have noticed they include more time for art projects. Which if I do say so myself, are getting better and better. Nice job on the bucket list!
