52 Weeks of Art Challenge-- Part 1
I stumbled upon the 52 Week of art project on Chronically Hopeful and I loved the idea of participating! While it was week #27 of 2026 the challenge does run 52 weeks and will finish up next June. In the meantime I thought I'd share my artwork one set of prompts at a time. This just might give me the boost I need to fall back into all my other art forms beside acrylic painting.
I quickly realized that in order to create an art project a week I needed to let go of some of my perfectionistic tendencies and just enjoy the process of creating.
Week #27- "a day at the Seaside" -- Acrylic on stretched canvas
Week #28--"Summer Blooms"-- watercolor
Week #29- "Tropical Island Vibes"-- pen and ink drawing
Week #30-- "garden tea party"-- watercolor
week #31--"Under the Sea"-- acrylic on watercolor paper
week #32-- "sunset silhouette"-- chalk pastels & acrylic mixed media
week #33-- "mosaic"-- Acrylic paint
week #34-- "waves" -- Acrylic on canvas
week #35-- "nautical theme"-- Acrylic on canvas
week #36 --"abstract, using summer colors" -- Marker on mixed media paper
week #37-- "party time"-- Watercolor and pen on mixed media paper
week #38-- "camping"-- chalk pastel on mixed media paper
week #39-- "fruit"-- Acrylic on canvas board
These are amazing. I think I may like "Fruit" the best but really it's hard to say- great job!

DeleteThese are so good Joanne! I love the seaside painting and at first I thought the sea turtle picture was a photograph. This is a fun way to share your art.

DeleteThis is so cool! I love the fruit one the best, too! I bet this is really good for a certain part of your brain, you know? I have noticed really tiny paintings in shops and I think that trend is so cute. They are either framed or on little easels.
