Talking About it Tuesdays #133
Short and sweet today! I'm hanging in there with the help of my husband, boys, sister, aunt, and just lot of family support. Blogging has been a pretty great distraction when I need one as I don't seem to have the attention span to read actual books. So thank you! And thank you all so, so much for your sweet and encouraging words last week. I can't wait to see what you share this week.

This party will remain open until the weekend. My hope is that everyone will share all sorts of wonderful posts: travel, recipes, how to's, crafting ideas, and more-- up to 3 posts per blog. Anything that is family friendly is welcome; even old posts that you'd like to get some new views.

I'm glad you have a lot of support! And that blogging is a good distraction. Appreciate all that you do with your blog and your kind comments on our blogs. Thanks for the link up- sending hugs :).
ReplyDeleteAW, thank you!
DeleteHaving loving support is so important. I can really help.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine trying to go through this alone.
DeleteI'm continuing to think of you as you untangle and grieve. It will take a long time before it's all settled but it will get better. Delegate. I don't know if you are going this route, but we used an estate sales agent and I literally thought he was an angel and made our lives so much easier. I am here if you have any questions about what we did. I was going to write a post about the business of death but it was so sad and depressing.
ReplyDeleteWe can't sell anything yet as we don't know what he owns... and it doesn't look like he owned much of anything in his name only. Besides which, from what I'm reading, it will take nearly a year to go through probate. So we're really just in a holding pattern. I tend to think I'll be writing a post about all that we've learned after this process. I too think it's a bit depressing but there is so much people don't seem to know or are aware of and it's not easy to get straight answers on what to do next.
DeleteThank you for hosting. I'm glad you have people to help you through this..
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSending you a big hug x

You're welcome! Thanks for sharing with us.
DeleteJoanne, so sorry you are going through this legal side of family changes. It is hard enough with losing a family member, but this legal side does add an element that is exhausting. I pray that you and the family are able to see this through as easy as can be expected. Take care.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you. Yes, that legal side/element is exhausting.
DeleteHi Joanne--Happy Tuesday! Probate is a complicated process. I hope it all goes quickly and well for you and your family. Thinking of you and sending a hug!
ReplyDeleteWe're learning that... thank you!
DeleteHi Joanne. It isn't easy to lose a parent, no matter the circumstances. The legal side of everything just adds to whatever emotions you are feeling. Prayers for you as journey on.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteThanks for hosting Joanne and take care and sending hugs.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Julie.
DeleteSo sorry to hear about the chaos. Thank you for persevering in spite of it all.

DeleteJoanne, I must have missed what happened, but it sounds like you are walking through a tough time, so I just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you and here to support you if you need anything!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you, Suzanne. My dad died on August first so it's been rough.
DeleteContinuing to hold you across the miles my friend. Thank you so much for hosting & warm hospitality each week. I'm sitting at # 72, 73, 74 & 75 between my two blogs this week.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Paula!
DeleteOne day at a time and if you need to shrink it to one hour at a time that works too, as I told a friend who lost her mom last week.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lisa!
DeleteA bonus of blogland is the support we receive from friends we make across the world. Take care of you. And thank you again for the linkup.
ReplyDeleteThat is a real bonus for sure!
DeleteWith probate, my husband had to ask a lot of questions and we do have a couple friends who had just gone through the process so that helps. Prayers!

Blogging is a great distraction. I started my blog over a decade ago when my mom got really sick. I hope it's bringing you some comfort.
