Fashion Files on a Monday

With two posts being published every Tuesday I haven't yet had the chance to link up with Marsha and Amy on Tuesday for their fashion files. I thought I'd take today to look back on last month or two and share some of my favorite summer outfits I've pulled together.

This top was new this summer from Stitch fix and I love it so much I've already checked to see if it comes in other colors (it doesn't). I like the ruffled sleeves and it has a fun triangle cut out in the back plus the flowy material makes it perfect for hot summer days. I often pair it with my wide leg linen pants from the Gap or wide leg white pants that I got at Talbots a couple years ago.

I am not 100% sure but I think this wine colored halter top is also from Stitch Fix. Again I just love the flowy material and I'm a sucker for any kind of off the shoulder/halter top. I paired it with some blue shorts that I think I picked up at the Gap.

Both this purple short sleeved top and these harem pants come from Amazon. They call the purple top a sweater but it's really a soft brushed cotton polyester.

I have no idea where either of these pieces came from but I think the top might be from Shein a few summers ago. I love the one shoulder and have been on the hunt for similar tops but so far haven't found any that aren't also skin tight.

These fun printed capri pants were new in July from JC Penney and I have tons of navy tops to pair them with. I think this halter tank was from Shein as well.

Not sure where either of these pieces came from either; I know I did not buy them together or even with the intention of wearing them together but I love how well they pair.

The same top as above in a blue color (maybe I got them on Amazon then? I often will place a second order on Amazon after I've gotten in a top or a pair of pants and find that I just love them). Then these pants are the wide legged ones from Talbots I mentioned above.

A jumpsuit from Clara Sun Woo. I've had it for a few years now and it's a huge favorite of mine.

I don't know where either of these pieces came from either... but I know I've had this top for at least 8 years since I wore it to the tulip farm with the boys (here)

This dress was from Stitch Fix last summer.

A pair of capri pants from Amazon that Marilyn and Tanya convinced me to try (I LOVE them!) paired with a Lily Pulitzer top.

Another pair of the harem pants I linked above but in a fun sunflower pattern (that doesn't seem to be available anymore) paired with a green tank top I found shopping with my mom last year... I think the top was from either Loft or Anne Taylor.

These linen harem pants were from Old Navy and I paired it with this fun bright pink top from Amazon.

These cuffed cropped jeans were a random find birthday shopping at JC Penney (or perhaps even Sears!) years and years ago. They were just a few dollars on the clearance rack and quickly became my favorites. I don't remember where I got this cute mint ruffled tee.

Another Lily Pulitzer top with another pair of the cropped terry pants from Talbot; this time in a bright blue.

I don't remember where either of these pieces came from. The bright blue scalloped hem halter top is something I tend to always pair with white pants. I just love the color combination I guess.

Pretty sure this is another Stitch Fix favorite top (that also didn't come in a second color) paired with some plain black capri pants.

I got this navy top while shopping with the girls in Louisville and it pairs perfectly with my Lily Pulitzer shorts.

  1. You have so many cute summer tops! I am a sucker for details on hems, ruffles, cute prints, different necklines, etc. I, too, have a pair of denim capris that I've had for years. Cute outfits!!

    1. Me too! I can fixate on the smallest detail-- it made picking out a wedding dress so hard.

  3. That is a shame that the first top doesn't come in different colours. I love the jumpsuit from Clara Sun Woo and those pink capri pants!

  4. Great idea to post on a Monday! I can even start opening the link party early if you would like.
I love the navy top you scored in Louisville! You really have a lot of clothes! You have done so well with Stitch Fix. I did it a few times and kept a few things. I didn't do it long enough for my stylist to know me and my style or my price point.

    1. I really do have a lot of clothes. I think I could probably wear something completely different each day of summer and have very little repeating. I keep teasing my husband that he needs to move me someplace warmer so I can wear them for longer than just 2-3 months.

  12. All of your summer clothing looks wonderful on you. Have you had any issues with size when ordering from Shein? My daughter has ordered a few times from them and their sizes are not always the same in the US. They are much smaller! 😂
If I were to post about the outfits I wear, they would all be from WalMart or the thrift stores! hahahah

  18. A lot of cute outfits! I really like all of the colorful pants you have and that simple wine/navy outfit is one of my favorites here. I love anything halter top too, I think they are a very flattering type of cut and so nice and cool in the summer.
