Styling Stripes & Polka Dots with Ageless Style
It's the third Thursday of the month and time for another ageless style challenge. This month Marsha picked styling stripes with polka dots. At first I wasn't sure I had anything as I don't have much striped or polka dotted in my wardrobe but as I was pulling out all the spring and summer things I stumbled upon these two pieces that happened to pair perfectly together!
It was a bit chilly for most of the morning so I added a linen blazer over my halter neck black and white polka dotted top. Paired with my black striped linen pants and black flip flops it was a classic summer outfit in spring.

These striped pants look so great on you, Joanne! I love a pattern mix and stripes and dots is one of the easiest ones to pull off. This outfit is perfect for this time of the year. I have found these pants to be a super versatile in my wardrobe and I think you will find the same! They are so comfortable and lightweight, which is so good for the humidity of summertime.

Thank you! They are one of my favorites pair of pants.. even if they are a bit too big in the waist.
DeleteI love the mix of stripes and polka dots! The pants are fabulous on you.

Thanks!
DeleteLike the mix of patterns and blocked colours. This outfit could be worn for so many occasions and look on point
ReplyDeleteI thought so too. It's one of those that felt super comfortable but I felt really put together.
DeleteThe outfit looks chic! I have two linen blazers that I need to wear more. Your black one reminded me of it- I have a black one as well.
ReplyDeleteI love just about anything linen.
DeleteSuch a classy and chic outfit- love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI like the pattern mix!
ReplyDeleteI do too and yet I pretty much never think of mixing patterns.
DeleteThat is a perfect example! It works so well being in the same color way! Love it!

Thanks!
DeleteI never think of wearing stripes and polka dots together. I love the outfit you have on, it all goes so well.
ReplyDeleteI rarely think to mix any sort of patterns.
DeleteFabulous, fabulous, fabulous. I think adding the blazer makes it easier for people who aren't comfortable with 2 prints side by side.
ReplyDeleteYou look truly fabulous.

Thanks!
DeleteEverything coordinates so well, such a great look on you! I have lots of stripes in my closet (my favorite print).
ReplyDeleteI have very little stripes or polka dots as I tend to have more florals this time of year.
DeleteWhat a cute top! I love that halter style on you...so flattering!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you. I am a sucker for halter or off the shoulder tops in summer.
DeleteI love this look Joanne. I have never thought to combine polka dots with stripes, but both you and Marsha pulled it off so well, I need to rethink that.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I have never combined the two either but I really liked this look.
DeletePerfectly balanced! I love the colors and you look so classy yet comfortable!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThis is totally something I'd wear! I just bought a polka dotted top and I haven't worn polkadots in awhile!! I have always loved stripes. This combo works well, I love the pattern mixing!

I think it is! I have so many items that I seem to forget about...
DeleteI wouldn't have thought you could combine stripes with polka dots, but I stand correctly. I thought it would be 'too busy' but it looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing as I am not one to mix patterns (or really buy all that many patterns).
DeleteOh, I 'm a great Fan of Polka Dots. They are always chic.

Thank you!
DeleteThat works really well, with and without the blazer. I'm one of those who probably wouldn't have thought of mixing stripes with polka dots.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I wouldn't have either until I was challenged to do so.
DeleteSuper cute getups. Love the dots. Been cold here all week, like burrrr cold.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's a bit chilly here yesterday and today as well. I was wearing a sweatshirt and long pants yesterday.
