One Item 3 Ways with Ageless Style

It's the third Thursday of the month and time for another ageless style challenge. This month I picked one item; 3 ways. The goal was to pick a favorite item from our closet and show how we've styled it 3 different ways. 

I just purchased this new jumpsuit and I love it so much! The material is quite different than any I've encountered before so it's super soft. But I really love the neckline (a draped boatneck) and it's been perfect for our not-really- spring-like weather we've been having. 

I do need to hem the pants a bit but I wanted to get these photos and this post written before I left for Asheville so I didn't really have time. 

Here is how I styled my jumpsuit for date night. I wore my platform sandals, a kerchief around my neck, some dangly earrings in the colors of the scarf and pulled my hair into a quick up do.  



 

 I thought I'd really like this outfit with my duster over it and a pair of heeled booties too. This time I used a long necklace to mimic the long duster. 


 Finally I tried pairing it with some sneakers and a white jean jacket. A fun and casual look that I decided to wear for the plane ride... only I swapped the white jean jacket for my denim one.

    I love that jumpsuit! I keep forgetting to pull mine out. I will have to try them with a scarf around the neck. I never used to like that look, but it has definitely grown on me. I enjoyed this prompt, Joane!

    I like the different ways you wear the jumpsuit Joanne. It looks lovely. I know it's a cliche, but I always worry it's difficult to visit the bathroom while wearing a jumpsuit?

When my boys were little and we'd take them out to eat I kept a small bag of toys in the car to grab on our way into any restaurant.  That way they would be entertained and a bit quieter while we enjoyed our meal. Favorite TV Shows Growing Up in the 80's and early 90's

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? I can remember planning sleepovers and time with friends around TV Show lineups of our favorite shows... or else trying to set the VCR to record our favorite shows if we weren't going to be home. And through the years I had SO MANY favorites! Growing pains aired in 1985 which put me around age 8 and it stayed on the air until I was 15 or so; I'm pretty sure most people in my age group watched mostly for Kirk Cameron and all his antics.  I still have a soft spot for family sit-coms!  The Facts of Life aired when I was just 2  and stayed on the air until I was 11 so I'm sure the episodes I remember so fondly were either some of the later ones and then reruns shown later on when I was old enough to watch from the beginning. Bloggers Weekend in Asheville Days 3 & 4

 Day 3 was Sunday and Maria was leaving early in the morning since she had a long term substitute teaching job she had to get back to on Monday and also wanted to pop in and see her daughter since she was driving right through the town Abby lives in. Tanya and I really wanted to check out The Biltmore Estate and Marilyn reluctantly agreed (in her defense she has been there before and it is SUUUUPER expensive... like $125! for the day).  That said we ended up spending over 5 hours there and we still didn't see everything. I mean we saw the whole inside of the house and most of the gardens but while we drove over the village and went inside one of the buildings for a wine tasting we didn't see much else of the village and if we hadn't been lagging in all energy we might have been able to spend even more time exploring. Share Our Lives: My Favorite Cleaning Products

It's the second Monday and time for Share Our Lives. The monthly link up where we share snippets of our lives. This month we're talking about our favorite cleaning products.  I took photos of cleaning products as I used them and am sharing them in no particular order.  I use Dawn dish soap as a stain remover for our laundry. It works particularly well with kitchen oil/ salad dressing stains.  I don't, however, use it on our dishes.  This (or All Free & Clear) is our usual laundry detergent.  We use this in our dishwasher. And this is what we use on our dishes when washing by hand (also what we use on our countertop and table).  I use white vinegar for so much-- I water it down to use on our floors in our refillable mop, I add 1 cup to the laundry when I want to remove odors (like with our towels). Cleans windows/glass without streaks, I mix it with salt and use it on weeds..  Baking soda is also used to boost laundry detergent. I sprinkle it in pan...

Bloggers Weekend in Asheville Days 1 & 2

This was our 3rd annual bloggers weekend ( year 1 was Nashville here , year 2 was Louisville here ) and we planned to meet in Asheville, North Carolina. I was the only one flying in... and it was not easy finding flights into Asheville! My first day was spent traveling, as was everyone else's. Jenn texted in the morning that she was sick and had to back out. We were all disappointed.  I left for the airport before lunch and landed in Asheville around 6:30 after a long layover in Atlanta. I walked the terminal to get in some extra steps and picked up a really delicious sandwich for a late lunch/ early dinner.   Maria had kindly offered to pick me up and we met up with the other ladies at our AirB&B that Marilyn found us by 7.   Marilyn and Tanya put out quite a spread and Maria added some goodies too.
