Highlights and Favorites: A Sentence a Day in March
Hmm... January ended with an arctic freeze, February ended with a blizzard, March found us without power for a couple of days. Between all the rain we've gotten and all the snow melting we have been dealing with lots of muddy, boggy ground. But I'll take it!
1. Just so thankful for a quiet day at HOME after our early morning arrival Saturday. Sunday morning Ian was off to Vegas and my husband and I headed out grocery shopping, I washed all Ian's bedding and moved Alec into Ian's room (Alec's spring break was the same week Ian is gone and with my brother living in Alec's room this was our best solution), then spent the rest of my afternoon getting caught up on blogging. 4,842 steps.
2. So thankful for delightful TV shows that just suck me right in. Gym, cleaned the boys' bathroom, finished my latest novel, got some photos from Ian; he toured the Hoover Dam today. 7,071 steps.
3. Thankful that we finally got our tax stuff done so the accountant can begin his work.Yoga, bank, library, dropped our tax prep paperwork in the mail, and cleaned the upstairs, 4,180 steps.
4. So THANKFUL for a warm sunny day where it was 50! Gym, brunch with the younger two boys then the comic book shop and grocery store before heading home for a little walk. 8,159 steps.

5. Thankful for an afternoon playing games. I slept in and spent a very lazy caught up reading my book until I finished it and then I made a salad while Alec made a cheesecake and we played triominoes with my mother in law. 2,050 steps.

6. Thankful for a burst of energy to finish cleaning the house. Gym, cleaned the downstairs, blogged, read some books, watched TV. 5,706 steps.

7. So super thankful for the wonderful man I get to spend my life with. Evan headed off to work, Alec headed to back to school, Ian texted as he made it through TSA to head back home and my husband and I enjoyed a fabulous date night out. 7,289 steps.

8. So thankful for an afternoon chat with Ian hearing ALL about his Vegas trip. A day of blogging & catching up with Ian. 2,065 steps.

9. So thankful for a wonderful long walk outside! Gym, nice long walk along the river trail with Evan, Target, library, home to blog. 15,182 steps.
10. So thankful Evan talked me into a second walk when he got home from work and we were joined by my mother in law too. Yoga, quick grocery shop to pick up more fruit, spent the day at home reading, napping, and doing chores. 10,406 steps.
11. So thankful we had an extra bonus day of nice weather that hadn't been in our forecast. Gym, home to read and do laundry, walked in the sunshine and spent my afternoon making cards. 7,936 steps.
12. So thankful for a fabulous night out with Alec. I spent all day waiting around to head to Providence to see Wicked with Alec; we went to a delicious pizza/pasta place where they make everything fresh, then we hopped a JWU bus to the city center and made it to our seats with just 1 minute to spare before the show started. 8,145

13. Thankful our grocery list was so small this week. Spent most the day talking with my brother and then my mother; it was good to catch up with everyone. 5,626 steps.
14. So thankful for a wonderful day exploring Evan's future school. Accepted student day at Clark with Evan and my husband. 5,750 steps.
15. Thankful for my morning nap. A completely lazy day at home napping and reading my book... and doing just a bit of dorm shopping.
16. Thankful for my burst of productivity today. Gym, then spent our super rainy day cleaning the upstairs and making a pistachio cake from scratch. 8,060 steps
17. So thankful I managed to get the cake/frosting, and all my granola cooked before the power went out... even if that meant I had to throw our corned beef out since it was only 1/2 cooked and I had no way to refrigerate/freeze/save it. Grocery shopped, cooked/baked, then after we lost power Evan and I headed to the library, to get gas, and stopped by the comic book store then Ian picked up dinner for us all from D'angelo's. 6,181 steps.

18. So thankful for our generator and the mobile hotspot on my phone. Spent a boring day working on puzzles, listening to audiobooks, then Evan, my mother in law and I went for a walk. 11,022 steps.
19. So thankful our power is back on! Gym, cleaned the whole house, and got caught up on blogging. 9,633 steps.
20. So thankful for great music that kept me moving all day. Gym, cleaned the basement, walked the neighborhood and then spent my evening grocery shopping. 12,387 steps.
21. So thankful we did groceries last night so I could sleep in this morning. I spent most of my day reading my latest novel. 4,259 steps.
22. Thankful that Ian's taxes were fairly easy to do. Another rainy and cold day, I stayed home reading and helped Ian get his taxes done and FINALLY got to make our corned beef dinner. 3,325 steps.
23. So thankful the snow flurries were quick and didn't leave any actual snow behind. Another cold and rainy day so I spent the day inside reading, washing all the laundry/bedding, and took a quick trip to the library.
24. So thankful the dusting of snow I woke to was gone by lunch. Woke to a dusting of snow, went to yoga then the grocery store, spent my afternoon making homemade English muffins and blogging. 6,016 steps.
25. So thankful for Ben's job! It was a lovely day so I took a walk to the state park and hiked the red trail. 9,797 steps.
26. So thankful the rain stopped and the sun came out for the second day in a row. Gym, household chores like laundry and making a salad, a quick after lunch walk and worked on updating my resume. 10,215 steps.
27. Thankful for a wonderful morning with Evan. School and online dorm shopping with Evan before we headed out hiking and stopped at Target for a bit more dorm shopping. 9,042 steps.
28. Thankful for another fabulous date night with my husband. Grocery shopping, spent my day reading a fabulous book and ended the night with a fun date night out at The Bedford (at Foxwoods). 13,041 steps.
29. Thankful Evan convinced me to go for a hike even though we had to wear winter coats.Worked on my latest painting for awhile, read my latest book, went for a hike with Evan and did some blogging. 6,429 steps.
30. So thankful for wonderful tutorials that helped me set up a resume and cover letter. Gym, cleaned the house, ran to the library, worked on a cover letter to go with my resume, and walked around the neighborhood. 10,029 steps.
31. So thankful that the rain gave way to warm temperatures and some sun in the afternoon. Yoga class, housework, a lovely long hike by myself. 11,662 steps.
